Ugh; Wrexham. Some of the worst people alive are from there.

Those bastards need to move out of our way on the table.:fist::joker:

And seriously, you've had bad experiences in Wrexham? I've never been there, so I can't comment either way.

We don’t always see eye-to-eye but Quantum Boy seemed to have a good explanation why the most incompetent, stupid family men of all time (don’t mind it with Homer Simpson so much but Peter Griffin is just … ugh) seem to earn the right to being the protagonist of some of these shows just because they’re men. I’m a dude but I dunno. I dunno. It just seems subtly misogynistic. Why is that?

Mystic Mock 02-09-2024 11:03 PM

I think that they make them the lead because the writers can create funny scenarios out of them, hence why Comedy Shows existed back then.

Builders. They irritate me no end, especially when they make you feel like they're doing you a favour while charging top dollar.

This obsession some people have with Shirley coming back to EastEnders. She might be back one day but as far as we know Linda Henry’s abroad and on indefinite leave if we’re being polite. She. Is. Gone. And she ain’t coming back any time soon. Accept it. Get over it.

She played a very rotten, rancid-for-no-reason character in her last 8 or so years anyway. I prefer 2006-12 Shirley. Fresher and not a second-fiddle player to the extended Carters. She had bite but she wasn’t completely foul and ugly with it at that point. Hated 2015-22 Shirley.
Either way, I don’t know why some people can’t just accept that she’s gone and stop pining for her to come back in all sorts of random scenarios.

People being disliked based purely on appearance.

Redway 05-09-2024 11:19 PM

The fact that so, so many people don’t seem to know that anymore is one word and not two … anymore.

Redway 09-09-2024 07:51 PM

The fact that my most convenient local is absolutely dead on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Mystic Mock 10-09-2024 12:49 AM

Seeing the trailer for Lollipop Chainsaw: Re-Pop, and the developers bragging about how the Re-Pop mode would be less violent.

Redway 10-09-2024 01:48 AM

Stupid ENFP stereotypes.

This video (https://youtu.be/l_g41Dsfnak?si=IHhVGwccBe66tbCI) does a pretty good job of explaining it.

When they cancel the train when it’s due.

Upset sinuses. Allergies.

When someone’s making a perfectly good point (in a video, in person; whatever, wherever) and then goes on to ruin it by chatting bull. So now you can’t even share the video (if that’s what it is) with anyone.

Melonie Mac is one that springs to mind for me.

Sky Sports News.

When you're probably the most lame and cheesy Channel of the 2020's, you know you're extremely lame and cheesy.

Redway 12-09-2024 12:34 PM

When you’re expected to swallow weight from the opinions of members who obviously don’t know you and insult everyone every other day.

Everyone don’t gotta be a glorifier of the suited hustle-and-bustle world and fundamentally struggle with empathy. The world needs shrinks, counsellors and empathetic people more than it needs more runners-up for Wall Street and a career that’s more interesting on LinkedIn paper than in reality. And serious depression is almost worse than cancer.

Again, it all comes down to this issue of people lightening and trivialising the word “depression” and thinking it’s a pedestal for people with ‘fake’ issues and minor day-to-day anxieties of life to jump on for sympathy or attention on social media. Severe depression is a completely different kettle of fish and one of the most horrible illnesses someone can have. Often psychotic. In any case way beyond just needing to hit the gym more and remember that other people have it worse than them. You can find that out for yourself if you visit an ECT ward or generally just come close-up to someone suffering with severe depression. Even mild depression, the next step from that is often suicide or at least heart-attack. And that ain’t no joke.
So people really need to stop saying they have “depression and anxiety” or lumping them together too much. It lightens the true meaning of depression, undermines its potential severity and … ya. Plus there are plenty of disorders chilling (or not chilling) in the neighbourhood of “anxiety” so if you’re trying to go anywhere with that, be more specific. Is it generalised anxiety, social anxiety, agoraphobia or regular panic attacks?

“Suicide shouldn’t even be on your mind if you have money.”

When someone’s literally on death’s door and living in a world of nihilistic delusion it’s not really about how many numbers they have in their bank account. But people who don't know much about heavy depression don’t know how far the train goes inside the bottom-most pits of hell and torture. It really is a horrible set of illnesses. If you say otherwise it’s just because you don’t know what severe or even moderate types of depression look like. Simple.

Again. This re-bump is for the exercise-gurus on Instagram threads whose “controversial take” who think that exercise is a better cure for depression than medication. Let’s have it wall-to-wall about severer forms of depression and see how that approach works.

Also. This notion that talking about something a lot or having a lot of knowledge means that you must be somehow personally affected by it. That might be the case but it might-well not.

Lack of basic-propiety manners. Exaggerated coughing, sneezing and burping in public places where people want to eat and drink comfortably. Gross. Sorry but I’m just gonna have to be on one of those rolls today.

Stupid USPS not scanning my package and putting it on a truck already. It's been waiting on their dock since August. But it's coming out of Kentucky so I guess not enough volume for them to pass it on...

It's supposed to be my replacement mats for my cutting machine and they probably put lower priority postage on it.

Mystic Mock 12-09-2024 11:18 PM

Selfies.

No offense to anyone who takes them, but I really hate them.

Redway 12-09-2024 11:28 PM

When things just don’t work in all the ways you’re hoping they do.

Redway 13-09-2024 12:54 AM

Also. This idea that Jake Moon (EastEnders) turning out to be alive after all these years is unrealistic. It was implied that at the least something bad happened to him off-screen but we never actually saw a thing. No-one said the guy was dead.

…in general I don’t know what kind of service UPS give in the States and it’ll probably vary from State to State ….but my own experiences of them is that they’re never without an ‘event’……most other delivery companies are pretty straight forward but UPS just never is …they’re not major things that can’t be resolved but they’re just…avoidable silly things, like only delivering ‘1 of 2’ parcels and the other being deliver several days later…that’s just one thing that comes to mind…anyways, not many companies seem to use them in the UK but as I say…my own experience of them seems to always have an ‘event’ attached to them……I hope that your parcel arrives soon…

USPS is our post office (US Postal Service), so like Royal Mail. If only it were UPS, Ammi. I am just grateful tracking is working at all and it isn't stopped somewhere random.
