The more I think about it, the more I feel so bad for Kamala. She was kind of just thrown into the race when the public finally realised that Biden was no longer fit to be president.

They knew he wasn’t doing too hot and kept acting like everything was going great. I genuinely think it’s the reason why they lost.

It also brings about presidential age into question. Should there be an age cut off? I think there should be. But again, that’s not exactly fair on someone who may be completely healthy and competent at 87 vs someone who gets dementia at like 57

Ugh just so many things went wrong and it’s a damn shame

'Don't Despair,' Kamala Tells Celebrating Nation

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gbvle70X...jpg&name=small

While Americans of all ages, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds
continued to joyously celebrate Trump's return to power, Harris pleaded with
everyone not to give in to any feelings of sorrow and heartbreak.

Yes Harris can bugger off,

They can Elect a better Party Leader

There are a lot of devastated people after trump winning. I thought Kamala's speech was perfect

It was Bots but some people are exceptionally keen to see those people give in and be broken. If anything it's 90% of the reason they're happy about the Trump win in the first place. "Stick it to the wokies" or whatever tragic mission is floating the ice in their dram tonight.

Less fun for them if people remain stoic, thus her very reasonable speech must be mocked, else this window of opportunity for insubstantial sporadic joy be missed.

No one here obviously.

But some people.

Rubbish, the crowd were loud and she needed to repeat it

Alf 07-11-2024 03:16 PM

Here is her perfect speech. I'm sure it came from the heart, with so much thought put into it.

Alf not getting nasty or gloating :skull:

arista 07-11-2024 03:39 PM

President Biden
just spoke far better than Harris.

He Spoke in brief for around 5mins
He confirmed he spoke on the phone to
President-Elect Trump to congratulate him

And confirmed he has lost this battle.

Like Harris he was 30mins late.

Maru 07-11-2024 03:40 PM

Listening to Biden's speech. Way better... (for me)

Does a true Scotsman take ice in his dram?

Alf 07-11-2024 04:32 PM

"The blame game begins. Biden is blaming Obama & Pelosi for forcing him out. Harris is blaming Biden for sabotaging her campaign. Dem pundits are calling blacks & Latinos misogynists for voting for Trump. They Dems didn’t lose because they stabbed each other in the back. They lost because they stabbed the American people in the back with their policies of open borders, inflation, the abuse of the rule of law, & their endless lies."

It wasn't a landslide, it was a tsunami.

good to see so much confidence in Trump then

although the bar was really low after the Biden administration and Kamala also didn't deliver much in her campaign either

To be fair, he'd already "lost" a few weeks back. It's easier for him to view the situation with some balance.

Good post for sure.

"If you're not with hundo per, you're against us" turns people off.
