They haven't.... they've brought it up to date! (although we loved it before too :P)

and all their songs aren't like this, this is the only one on the album of this effect.

Their producer said earlier;

"Than u guys party girl is a cool change for the guys it's the only song like that on the record! But lots of surprises." :)

He only did this song (that will be a single) so it's alright.. Taio Cruz did the others... so they will be totally different. And as a person, Dallas is VERY annoying... I've endured TOO much of that man over the past year -.-

He's HORRIBLE. He had a brief fling with Christina Aguilera in 2001 and then she ended it and he spoke to the media about her saying she slept around for songs [even though she wrote the whole album she would have been trying to get these songs for herself] and that her husband first met her through a dare to see who could sleep with her first and other ****. And he's cheated on SO many of his past girlfriends.

McFly are generally hit & miss with me, I tend to either LOVE their songs, or just not care.

Party Girl's not too bad, probably will grow on me but I'm not too keen on them having that sound. I don't see the GaGa comparison either, although that 'oooh' at the beginning did make me think of Bad Romance haha.

That's fair enough Darenn! Usually everybody (with the odd exception) hate McFly, so I'm glad of this response.... it's definetely not what the haters were expecting!

I don't really like it but I can see it doing well on the charts, might grow on me though. Their best stuff was in the Room on the 3rd Floor era in my opinion.

The thing is, is they've been away for almost 2 years, and the music scene has changed ALOT since then - and if they released 2004 McFly... people would have been like, what the actual fuck? In this time, they have had barely any press or anything, because there was no story to write about them. Now they're back, and people are like omgggg McFly have gone mainstream and changed themselves. No, they're still McFly... they're still the McFly we fell in love with almost 7 years ago now... it's just one of those things. Also, this is ONE song, Dallas said all the songs are very different from each other, and very different from Party Girl.... but they released this first to show that they are different, and better and up to date.

Everyone has their own favourite McFly era... mine is 2008. Radio:ACTIVE was the way forward at the time, and I still bloody love it now actually!

Basically, the gap inbetween R:A and this has made people go WOAH :| because it's SUCh a big jump... but looking back, 5 Colours in Her Hair to Lies would have been a massive jump if they did it straight away - but they gradually did it over the years - this is just a big jump at once.... and I lovee it <3

Pretty diabolical direction to go in. Can't see it getting much radio play or being played in clubs or anything.
