LMAO @ this :joker:

JerseyWins 05-07-2016 02:23 AM

I think this is the first time all season I've put feeds on and they were down (aside from eviction day). Have they still not done the POV ceremony yet?

I do love the advanced calendar rewinding on BBUS feeds... BBCAN feeds could really use that considering how often they're down. Although there's nothing interesting to rewind back to sooooo... :\ I'll try to find the Frank/Bridgette convo I guess.

JerseyWins 05-07-2016 02:41 AM

Da'Vonne and Natalie seemed to have a good discussion earlier and seem like they'd be on the same page moving forward (like coming together in a few weeks to go after the 8 pack). They said for now they just have to play other peoples' game for them.

JerseyWins 05-07-2016 02:56 AM

Oh wait, they DID already do the POV ceremony? :joker: I felt like they would have already done it with the way people were talking about Victor on the block but wtf is going on now then?

It is not exciting at all crowd is vile and voters are woman haters.

Macie Lightfoot 05-07-2016 05:32 AM

Oh good, they're already planning to let Zakiyah be HoH next week because it's gonna be her birthday.

The fact that they can actively plan who wins HoH three days in advance is so ****ing absurd. Good job Grodner.

This is the dumbest group of newbies

Headie 05-07-2016 09:24 AM

Apparently production made Tiffany lie about being bisexual, she's actually gay but production won't let her talk about it :conf:

Also I'm scared for Tiff, I feel like she's probably going home

omg really? where did you hear about this?

I hate how reality tv tries to personify gay people as 'gay' but lesbians as 'bisexual' it happens time and time again, wouldn't surprise me.

Raph 05-07-2016 10:33 AM

Why do no links work this season? :(

Braden 05-07-2016 10:49 AM

I'm kind of over this season already tbh, and I've never lost interest in a season so early (not even BB16), but I have absolutely no desire to watch the episodes.

The lack of live-feed is somewhat off-putting, although I've never really been invested into live feeds prior to BBCan4. I always make do with clips but even they prove that nothing interesting is going on.

Dominic 05-07-2016 10:54 AM

I'm not investing much time into the season and am also already over it because everything about it is boring.

Raph 05-07-2016 01:05 PM

Personally I think this is the best season since BBUSA in 2008, but I really don't like this 8 person alliance :S

Samm 05-07-2016 01:26 PM

It's weird because I'm interested in most of the characters this season but I'm not really overall interested it in, I think it's because they've massively over killed it with comps and twists, and probably because there isn't any signs of difference every year it's even more samey and stale then BBUK

Yeah I agree with this. It's also the fact that live feed is so impossible to get, which is making it impossible to actually get into it, even though I want to

Even 16 had more going on at this point with Devin of Household and his whole thing with Brittany (literally the only good week of the season.) What has happened so far this year? Go on, I'll wait.

No this season is really boring and not great at all. I cant be bothered with it  Its not even worth checking updates to see if anything has happened because I know nothing would have happened.

I blame poor pick of houseguests and just stupid twists.

Yeah, I agree. I feel that if there were no returnees it would be a lot better, but it's so typical that none of the vets seem to be going anywhere any time soon.

Raph 05-07-2016 02:00 PM

BBCAN3 teas :p Me loving the cast and everyone preferring the other seasons haha

It's awful because all the twists and bull**** are actively preventing any power shifts from happening. I'm not sure if Grodner even realizes that, or if she does and just doesn't care as long as her prized pigs make it to jury. The fact that the majority can actively plan and decide who they want to win HOH three days in advance because of the teams is so nauseating beyond belief. Not to mention that even if someone outside the Eight Pack became HOH against all odds, Roadkill just makes it that much more difficult since the power of HOH is effectively devalued.

Raph 05-07-2016 02:09 PM

Oh I completely agree though I think casting is the best since BB10 but the roadkill twist ruins any potential chance of good gameplay and I absolutely hate this concept of an 8 person alliance.

DrunkerThanMoses 05-07-2016 02:11 PM

How is casting been the best since bb10 though? None of these new people are that great, nothing is happening, they are not providing any entertainment.

Macie Lightfoot 05-07-2016 02:14 PM

bc there's diversity or something.

DrunkerThanMoses 05-07-2016 02:15 PM

bb11 had diversity as well though?

Raph 05-07-2016 02:17 PM

It's the least homogenous cast and more importantly they are all so likeable! I can see how most people wouldn't like that (hence why BBCAN3 was unpopular) but I like the seasons where the casts are super amicable :p

Yep, It's so pathetic and goes against the whole concept of the game. The show became a parody of itself quite a while ago but this taking it to a whole new level.

the only upside is that ratings are worse than ever and they'll only get worse once the Olympics start. Not that it matters at all since Les Moonves will never let his wife's show die, but still.

Braden 05-07-2016 02:36 PM

The number of components that go beyond the game itself is ridiculous:

- Siblings of past contestants: (not so much of a big one, but their involvement can put them at an unfair advantage. Especially since there are returning players who are aware of these people's exsistence outside the game, which brings me onto...)

- Four veterans: (typical returnees who act as underdogs the minute they get in the house, but obviously manage to get people on their side because there's no way retuning players can fail. Obviously favoured by production and change the dynamic of the house completely. Newbies do not come across as organic characters as a result, only followers.)

- Four teams: (ridiculous twist that isn't necessary. Goes against the whole point of winning HOH when they compete in teams. Immunity is always a ****ty concept in this game because it really doesn't lead to anything as far as gameplay goes.)

- Roadkill: (basically allows the person who wins to change the outcome of the eviction depending on whether they're in a majority alliance. Any underdog who wins HOH basically has their HOH annulled if someone from the majoirty alliance wins Roadkill, and it doesn't matter if someone from a minoirty alliance wins because they're nominee won't go home. Basically prevents any interesting or exciting gameplay.)

- Battle Back: (I think most people know this is a guarantee for one of the vets to come back if in some bizarre situation one of them is evicted. I don't mind this as much but most of us know how Redemption Island plays out and no to that.)

5 twists in addition to the game itself is just tiring. I can't even get behind the people I like in the house because they're in a ****ty position due to the fact that likelihood of these twists helping them is very slim. The fact that such big alliances are taking control of the game so early on on (almost) a season to season basis these days is just preventing the show from being watchable. I understand it's a numbers game but it just feels so stagnant when you have such a big alliance and you're watching them take control of the game for practically half of the season.

LukeB 05-07-2016 02:58 PM

Roadkill twist is a bit meh but it's 100% better than BOTB.
The boot order is going well and Victor going next would carry it on
Cast is way better than season of blondes BB17 with only John,Davonne and Audrey being the only stand out houseguests.
The first votes are normally 'following the house' but 7-4 seemed close.
I don't mind the 8pack alliance and it's going to fall apart anyway.
This season is going well imo.

Macie Lightfoot 05-07-2016 03:05 PM

those blondes last year delivered in spades. So far this year all we've had is Jozea.

Raph 05-07-2016 03:31 PM

But I thought Luke was #teamblondes?

This is a massive factor

Ross. 05-07-2016 03:44 PM

Yeah the cast is more diverse this year but regardless the "blondes" (why is this a thing now? LOL) delivered, I don't see how someone's hair colour plays a factor in how good a houseguest they are

Right now this cast, as likeable as they are, just aren't really delivering from the updates we are getting from Jersey, Macie and anyone else who has access to them but right now I put that more down to the constant, tiring twists this season (it's getting a bit much) rather than the houseguests themselves

Bring back Jozea aka the Messiah!

LukeB 05-07-2016 04:03 PM

EspeonBB 05-07-2016 04:21 PM

I echo all the people who are tired of the season already (not a good sign considering it's only week 2).

I actually like the newbie cast but I feel like we're not really getting to know them because emphasis is placed on the returnees. Plus Grodner has ruined it further by introducing all these twists that are designed to keep her faves in the game

When you look back to last year and remember the amount of drama that happened in the first 2 weeks it made the feeds/show great to watch. Then you look to this year and nothing has really happened (and it doesn't look like it's going to with all these twists resulting in the 8 Pack steamrolling over the competition)

Macie Lightfoot 05-07-2016 04:37 PM

Yeah, if the next HoH Comp is easy enough for everyone to hand it to Zakiyah like they planned then I'll definitely be okay with checking out for a while...

Ross. 05-07-2016 04:47 PM

What is the reason for handing her the HoH? What's the motive behind it? :joker: But if that happens then it's definitely going to go even more downhill

Macie Lightfoot 05-07-2016 04:48 PM

Just because it's her birthday next week and the 8 Pack realized that if the HoH Comps are always in teams they can fix the outcome.
