4 points off, win against villa tomorrow, 1 point off. Utd's game in hand is against wigan but they play 3 times that week, so they will only manage a draw.

Everything to play for now. Thank you Fulham.

Look at the amount of yellow and red cards Man U got today.. they should be fined for all that dirty play. Shows that losing to the superioir team last week really got under their skin.

30stone 21-03-2009 05:05 PM

Actually if Chelsea Lose their next 3 games.

Arsenal win the next 3,

We go 3rd! by 1 point.

30stone 21-03-2009 06:07 PM

Arsenal 3 - 1 Newcastle at 70 Minutes.

Arsenal - Bendtner (57), Diaby (64), Nasri (67)

Newcastle - Martins (58)

Nasri's First goal in about 20 games, when he scored 2 against Man Utd.
Hopefully he will start scoring weekly.

Full time

Ended 3 - 1 Arsenal.

With Liverpool Winning or drawing we stay 2 - 3 points above Villa.

Liverpool Football Club has paid tribute to its club secretary Bryce Morrison who has died.

The club's chief executive, Rick Parry, said everybody at the Anfield club was "shocked and saddened to hear of his untimely death".

"His dedication to and love for the club was apparent to all of those who worked alongside him," Mr Parry said.

There will be a minute's silence before Sunday's match against Aston Villa and as a mark of respect.

"Bryce gave 17 years' loyal service to Liverpool and was well known throughout football and will be sadly missed by his many friends within the game.

"This is a very sad day for Liverpool Football Club," Mr Parry added.

Aston Villa defender Luke Young admits his teammates have no idea how to cope with the threat of an in-form Fernando Torres.
The former Charlton and Middlesbrough full-back has been hugely impressed by El Nino's form following his injury troubles and feels he is capable of giving any defence in the world the runaround when he's in top gear.

"How do you look after Torres? I am not too sure," said Young.

"I think you've got to give yourself a headstart by 10 yards at least. He is a good player. I think Liverpool have missed him at times this year.

"When he plays, like you saw at the weekend, he is a real handful. Nemanja Vidic has been one of the best players in the Premier League this year and Torres gave him a little bit of a runaround. He is a good player.

"Even when they didn't have him, they were top of the league but any team that has got Torres in it is a better team."

Nice to see both Newcastle and Middlesbrough in the relegation zone. A nice threesome with Blackburn joining them would be fun, but oh well - I can't have it all.

Sunderland need a win tomorrow, though. Man City are a good team, so I'm not exactly holding my breath.

Locke. 21-03-2009 09:56 PM

Man City just haven't gelled together this season, but I can see them finishing fifth next season if they manage to keep hold of the players they have now, and don't bring in too many new ones. Robinho will leave though, but that will probably have more of a positive effect on the team, as he hasn't performed as he should have done this season and he has wasted many chances.

I think I predicted a 2-1 for City in the prediction thread, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sunderland won 2-1 either.

Lauren 21-03-2009 10:00 PM

Hopefully they've ran out of air from the UEFA win. Hopefully Ireland and Bridge are out... Ireland is probably who we should be most fearful of.

30stone 21-03-2009 10:46 PM

Man city wont finish 5th, Everton or Villa will.

Then for 7th place it will be like Wigan, Fulham and Man City.

And why is everyone on this forum liverpool fans?

No one says says anything about Arsenals win putting them 3 points above villa.

Locke. 21-03-2009 10:48 PM

I wa talking about next season Ben.

A lot of Liverpool fans on here, didn't expect that.

30stone 21-03-2009 10:54 PM

Ohh yes maybe so yeah.

Yeh its a little boring sometimes because everyone just talks about liverpool.

Was expecting and equal amount of fans for like liverpool, Arsenal, man utd and Chelsea...
