Heather Mills has revealed that she is thrilled by the support she has received from fans on Twitter.

The ex-wife of Sir Paul McCartney claimed that she has only been sent one negative comment on the social networking site since she signed up for the service in May.

"Everyone jumped on that person - it was amazing," the Daily Express quotes her as saying.

"Everyone said: 'Why don't you say something positive, you Beatles fan? Get lost.'"

The former glamour model, who launched a vegan café in Hove, East Sussex last month, added that she would have loved to cook for Gandhi, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King.

She commented: "They were people who went through controversy to put the truth forward and they weren't afraid to fight - and I can relate to that completely."

Mills has previously said that she joined Twitter to "tell it exactly like it is".
