Spoiler:

A clever and shocking twist to have Jim as Dr Browning's stalker. Does this mean that he has a hidden dark side?:o:D

I did think it was Clare at first until yesterdays E4 when Dr B was talking about the note that he got ''I know what you did'' and Jim said whoever done it could have been referring to the film ''I Know What You Did Last Summer'', which then it became clear it was him.

Poor Nancy finding Darren and Sienna in bed together. I like Darren, but his treatment of Nancy has been awful even if she was in the wrong over her painkiller addiction but she is facing up to her problems and he is too fooled by Sienna, but at least Nancy can see through her now.

Poor Maxine too, so Patrick really is emotionally torturing her and playing games with her psychologically. It was funny when Myra was drunk and fell through the table:joker:.

'Hollyoaks': Dan Tetsell talks Jim McGinn's stalker secret

Quote:

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/14/618x564/so...jim-mcginn.jpg

Hollyoaks delivered another surprising storyline twist in its latest episode as Jim McGinn was revealed as Doctor Browning's stalker.

Following weeks of mystery surrounding the identity of Browning's tormentor, tonight's Channel 4 airing (July 22) showed that Jim is secretly scheming against his villainous business partner.

Jim is carrying out the mischief on the orders of Trevor Royle. With Jim working as Trevor's barrister, his aim is to help the bad boy secure Browning's half of the club.

Digital Spy recently chatted to Dan Tetsell, who plays Jim, to hear more about his character's stalker secret.

How do you feel about being involved in this surprising twist?
"I think it's great. I was actually hoping that something like this might happen. I'd been a bit worried for a while that, for a lawyer, Jim was very, very relaxed about all of these murderers he was spending time with! To be bringing a certain amount of justice to proceedings is quite nice, even if it's not in the courtroom! It's really good fun."

Did you know Jim was the stalker all along, or were you kept in the dark?
"I didn't know about it straight away, but it was fine - I just had to move from not knowing who it was, to just acting like I didn't know who it was. There was probably a subtle change in my facial expression!"

Do you think the viewers have been suspecting Jim?
"I haven't really seen anyone suspecting Jim, so I'd say probably not! I have seen people wondering whether Will is responsible, or Silas, or one of the show's other psychos! Jim seems to have been in the clear in the eyes of the viewers, so I really hope people have been surprised."

Has Jim been scheming against Browning from day one, or is it a lot more recent than that?
"It really dates back from around the time of Browning marrying Mercedes. That's when Trevor strong-armed Jim into doing it. I also think that when Browning threatened to tell Carmel about the incident with Myra, that was the final straw for Jim. He wanted Browning out of his life, the club and the village, as he's become such a loose cannon."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/27/618x885/so...r-browning.jpg

They do have an unusual friendship, though! Is there a part of Jim that's still fond of Browning?
"In a way, yes! Jim is an office joker who just happens to be self-employed. I think part of the attraction of Browning to Jim is that he's just someone to talk to. They also move in the same circles. They're two of about three characters who wear suits in the village - however, one's a headteacher who has a dark side, one's a killer, and I'm short and overweight, so I'm not sure it's a good look!"

How nervous is Jim about doing Trevor's dirty work?
"Trevor is exactly the sort of person who Jim hates dealing with. He's another loose cannon and very dangerous, like a rabid dog. Greg Wood who plays the character is lovely, but Trevor is absolutely terrifying to be around. He's huge, threatening, ruthless and he can't ever be talked round."

Poor Jim is caught between Browning and Trevor! With their evil natures to worry about, could Jim be in danger?
"Who knows? If viewers take anything away from this, it should be don't get involved with gangsters and murderers - even if they are doctors! (Laughs.) You just can't guess what they're going to do next."

How does Jim feel about Browning's plan to have Myra killed?
"It's interesting, as there's a small second of relief that it's not him in the firing line. But it's also terrible, as Jim does like Myra and they have a history. However, he can't save Myra without revealing his own guilt. He ends up having to step up the stalking in an attempt to sort this out quickly."

Can we expect some more twists and turns with this story?
"Absolutely. Jim has got quite an artistic eye, with his delivery of necklaces and wreaths! I'd say keep an eye on his artistic side, as Browning definitely has a few shocks coming…"

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/28/618x693/so...m-mcginn_1.jpg

We've seen a lot of comedy from your character, so are you enjoying having a more serious storyline?
"I am, actually. I think it was always under there somewhere - that Jim is a schmuck in real life but quite hard when it comes to the law. You're mainly going to see Jim terrified of all these crazy people he has to deal with, but it's great fun to play."

Is Jim's quirky side his true character, or is there a sense that he's putting it on slightly?
"It's difficult to tell, isn't it? I do think it's really him, because it comes out at massively inappropriate moments. Jim tells jokes at the most terrible times, so it is naturally him, but I do think he also sometimes plays up to his class joker role in order to get on with people."

Myra still has some feelings for Jim. Does Jim feel anything for her other than friendship?
"I think there'll always be a special bond after what happened between them. They're also much closer in age than Jim and Carmel are. However, Carmel is the ideal for Jim and she represents a better life for him."

Do you think Jim and Carmel can stay together?
"Well, I hope they've got a long-term future! I think they get along well, but there's probably going to be ups and downs, because they live in Hollyoaks! It'd be nice to think they could be soap's only happy couple, but who knows if I'll get my wish?"

http://i1.cdnds.net/12/30/618x487/carmel-mcqueen.jpg

How does the soap world compare to your previous work?
"It's really great. I've done quite a bit of comedy in the past, so it's stretching having to be sincere about things! (Laughs.) That's what most actors do, but it's rarely ever come up for me! I think the audience feedback has been great too - it's so immediate, focused and intense. It's great to be in a show that's so closely followed by people. The viewers get really involved."

Have you made many friends on set?
"The cast have been very welcoming from day one. I was straight into last year's courtroom scenes with the McQueens, so they've been extremely welcoming. Also, Joe Thompson who plays Doctor Browning couldn't be further away from the crazy, obsessive lunatic that he plays. He's very lovely and we even went to the same university, so we have mutual friends. Joe Tracini is great too.

"To be honest, one of the fantastic things about this show is that everyone is ridiculously nice. It really is sickening how all these attractive people are also great human beings! (Laughs.) Everything I thought about beautiful people was wrong!"

If Jim isn't killed by Browning or Trevor, would you like to stick around in Hollyoaks for a while?
"I really would, as it's a great show to be in. I'm enjoying it so much that I think my family in London are getting a bit annoyed that I'm having such a good time away from them! I have to pretend I don't enjoy it when I go home! I'm very comfortable on the show, but saying that is probably the kiss of death, so don't tell our producer Bryan that I said it!"

'Hollyoaks' Phoebe roped into Browning's scheme

Quote:

Hollyoaks' Phoebe McQueen will face a testing time next week after she is roped into Dr Browning's scheming.

When Vincent (John Omole) receives a letter about his friend Akin being deported, Phoebe (Mandip Gill) decides to get back in touch with Trevor, who demands £500 for a fake passport.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/29/618x411/so...aks-3657-1.jpg

Knowing she won't be able to come up with the cash on her own, she asks Dr Browning (Joseph Thompson) for help.

However, instead of trying to help her, Browning decides to plant a photo of the teen in the medical file of one of his wealthy patients, Mrs. Rahj, in order to try to convince the terminally ill woman that Phoebe is her granddaughter.

Phoebe feels guilty when Mrs Rahj gives her an expensive bracelet but she goes ahead with the plan and sells it to pay Trevor.

Vincent is overwhelmed when Phoebe presents him with the papers he needs to visit his friend. However, just as he's about to leave, a parcel arrives containing a letter from Akin saying that he has already been deported.

'Hollyoaks': Two big shocks for Mercedes revealed

Quote:

Hollyoaks minx Mercedes Browning will be faced with two big revelations in next week's episodes.

Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) finds out much more than she ever bargained for after her mum Myra is attacked by a masked intruder at work one evening.

http://i2.cdnds.net/12/08/618x930/so...es_mcqueen.jpg

With Mercy's husband Paul (Joseph Thompson) the prime suspect in the case, she immediately jumps in to protect him by giving him an alibi.

Once the police are off Doctor Browning's back, he tells Mercy that Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) has been stalking him - before stirring up even more trouble by revealing that she slept with Carmel's boyfriend Jim McGinn (Dan Tetsell).

The timing of Paul's revelation couldn't be worse as a smitten Carmel (Gemma Merna) has just proposed to Jim.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/24/618x412/so...een-family.jpg

Although unsure of what to do for the best, Mercedes eventually decides to tell Carmel about Jim and spills the beans at her sister's engagement lunch at The Dog, but will Carmel believe her?

Later, Mercedes faces an even bigger shock as she goes through Paul's emails and finds an order confirmation for 50 posies - the same flowers that Myra had to stay late to make on the night she was attacked at the florists.

Ooh interesting!

'Hollyoaks': Anna Passey talks awards, Sienna plot future, more

Quote:

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/27/618x871/so...enna-blake.jpg

Hollyoaks schemer Sienna Blake has made a huge impact on screen in recent weeks with her ruthless plot to steal Nancy Osborne's life.

Viewers have seen that Sienna will stop at nothing to get what she wants, and with no end to her plotting in sight, the ongoing saga looks set to become one of the year's biggest storylines.

Anna Passey, who plays Sienna, is now reaping the rewards with three nominations in the 2013 Inside Soap Awards longlist.

Digital Spy recently caught up with Anna to hear her reaction to the nods and all the gossip on what's coming up for Sienna.

How do you feel about your Inside Soap Award nominations for 'Best Storyline, 'Best Bitch' and 'Best Newcomer'?
"Very excited! I've been in the show for nine months now, and during that time I've been very busy working on some fab storylines. Until now, I hadn't really had a chance to take a step back and take a look at everything. The nominations have given me the chance to do that, so it's a really nice treat.

"It's also pretty good timing, as the current storyline is still in full swing, but it's also come to a nice punctuation point where Sienna has been revealed to be completely nuts!"

Were you surprised to be up for three awards?
"Definitely, I was really surprised. I'm really, really chuffed with 'Best Newcomer'. 'Best Bitch' and 'Best Storyline' are also great! I feel really lucky to be up for three."

Have you thought about possibly winning one of the awards?
"I would really love it if we could win the 'Best Storyline' award. I think that would be the best for me, just because I know that Jess, Ash and myself have been working so hard and putting so much time and effort into it. I think it's a really exciting, gripping storyline and it's quite a long-running one too.

"I am up against some brilliant people, though. 'Best Bitch' is always a tricky category because there are so many great bitches out there in the soaps! It's the same with 'Best Newcomer', because lots of strong people have started out on screen at a similar time to me."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/29/618x382/so...rds-2013_1.jpg

Do you think Hollyoaks is in with a good chance in general on the night?
"I really hope so! There's still such a great buzz around the building after our Soap Awards wins, and there's a real sense of something really special being created here. The show is definitely on the way up and we'll have some amazing storylines playing out on screen this summer. To take home some more prizes at the Inside Soap Awards would be fantastic."

Since our last interview, your storyline has really stepped up a gear! How are the fans reacting to Sienna's crazy behaviour?
"Well, people don't like her very much! (Laughs.) I think people had seen Sienna lurking around in the background for quite a few months, and so the audience knew that there was something not quite right about her. On one hand, people are excited that it's all kicked off and they've been proven right! It's been enjoyable for them to see her crazy side unravelling.

"At the same time, Sienna is breaking up the Osbornes, which is such a well-loved family in soap, so there's obviously a big backlash to that. I'm really flattered, though, because most people seem to understand that it's just a character. If people say that they hate Sienna, it hopefully means that I'm doing a good job of playing her!"

There are some fans who, despite everything, quite like Sienna and Darren together! Has that come as a surprise?
"That's been the biggest shock of all, really. Ever since I started, our producer Bryan Kirkwood was preparing me for the fact that people wouldn't like Sienna. He told me, 'We're going to make you the most disliked girl in soap!'

"It's a big surprise to have a little army of supporters who love 'Dienna' as a couple. Some people think that Darren is a lot more free and easy with Sienna, which is lovely, but I think we can all safely say that Nancy is the one who deserves to be with him."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/23/618x439/so...aks-3629-3.jpg

Do you think there's room for redemption with Sienna?
"It's an interesting question, and lots of people have asked it of me. I really don't know, because some of the things that Sienna does are completely outrageous and truly awful. In that respect, I think she makes her bed and she'll have to lie in it.

"At the same time, Sienna does have her reasons for doing what she's doing. She's not out to just maliciously wreck everything for no reason. I think that's the seed of hope that there could possibly be some redemption for her. Sienna genuinely thinks that she'd be a better wife, mother and family member for the Osbornes.

"Sienna is doing it for the right reasons, but she has a slightly altered sense of reality and she's going about it in such a terrible way. However, she's not doing it for fun and she's not getting any sense of enjoyment out of it."

We're all wondering how long Sienna can keep this up! Does the storyline still have a long way to go?
"Well, Sienna is very clever and I think that's what will prolong the storyline. She plans everything out, and even when it goes wrong, she's just that bit sharper than Darren and the rest of them. Sienna is always one step ahead, and she's not going to let go easily. It'll go on for a little while longer…"

Have any of the scenes been difficult to film? Sienna breastfeeding Oscar was one which really shocked the audience…
"Well, I read my scripts like a film and I'm always excited to see what's coming next, but then sometimes it suddenly hits me that I'm the one that's going to have to do the crazy scenes! Particularly the breastfeeding, which was a bit tricky. I've also been moved to tears on set when I've been watching the performances of Jess Fox, Ashley Taylor Dawson and Jimmy McKenna. It's upsetting to see how much destruction Sienna causes, so I can easily see why it affects the audience so much.

"More than anything, though, to get a part like this is fantastic, and for Bryan to have created something so rich is brilliant."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/26/618x441/so...aks-3643-5.jpg

Do you think Esther will continue to be a thorn in Sienna's side?
"Absolutely. They do say that kids sense evil, don't they?! Tom and Esther have never really been sold on Sienna, so you can definitely expect to see more from that."

Is Patrick to blame for the way Sienna has turned out?
"Now that the audience are seeing Patrick's true colours, I think there's definitely a link there which can be made. Sienna is definitely a product of her parents and her upbringing. Obviously it can't all be blamed on that as Sienna can make her own choices, but she had quite an unusual upbringing which has definitely made an impact. Patrick and Anna certainly have a lot to answer for!"

I am enjoying this storyline even though Sienna is a nutcase and needs her comeuppance at some point. Anna Passey is lovely:).

'Hollyoaks' Nikki Sanderson: 'Maxine, Patrick plot has long future'

Quote:

Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson has revealed that Maxine Minniver's troubles with Patrick Blake are only just beginning.

The actress's bubbly character has been dating Patrick for a few months, but the Hollyoaks High headteacher has shown glimpses of a dark side with his attempts to control her.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/24/618x796/so...e-minniver.jpg

Speaking to PA, Sanderson confirmed that the plot is expected to run for another seven months.

She explained: "Everybody loves to get a great storyline like I've been given. We're still in the beginning stages of it. It's going to be a very long-term storyline, probably on screen until next March.

"It's going to be a slow burner, but when you get into it you'll see why it needed to be slow burning. We want to do the storyline justice and do what would actually happen in real life rather than speeding through things.

"I'm very fortunate that they really took their time with this storyline."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/22/618x411/so...e-minniver.jpg

Sanderson suggested that feisty Maxine was an ideal character to choose for the story.

She said: "I think that's why it's great they've chosen Maxine, because in real life you don't think strong, independent women can be manipulated, and it just goes to prove that just because you're strong doesn't mean you can't be moulded into something else."

'Hollyoaks' Myra McQueen actress Nicole Barber-Lane to leave soap

Quote:

Hollyoaks' Myra McQueen actress Nicole Barber-Lane is to exit the soap, as bosses plan an explosive end for the character.

The 39-year old star, who has played Myra for seven years, is looking to venture into other TV roles and spend more time with her family. She is married to Emmerdale actor Liam Fox.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/23/618x537/so...ra-mcqueen.jpg

Myra will depart the Channel 4 serial in a shocking manner when she gets shot during a showdown with her son-in-law Dr Browning.

A source told the Daily Star: "The McQueens are one of the most iconic families in Hollyoaks history. So it's only fitting that Myra, as the head of the family, gets the best send-off possible.

"She will be shot. Browning will be involved - but that doesn't mean he's the one who pulls the trigger. We all know there are a few others in the McQueen family who are handy with a gun, so wait and see.

"It's going to be an epic week of episodes that we are sure fans are going to love."

Barber-Lane added of her departure: "The job is fantastic, I love playing Myra. Over the last seven years we have had some great adventures with her and the McQueens.

"But now it is time for me to explore some new characters and roles and to have some fun with my family."

Nooo i'm gutted:(. Myra will be missed, but I wish Nicole well for the future!

'Hollyoaks': Jesse Birdsall cast as Sandy's new love interest

Quote:

Hollyoaks bosses have cast Jesse Birdsall in a significant guest role, Digital Spy can reveal.

The actor has been filming with the soap as newcomer Fraser Black - a possible love interest for Sandy Roscoe, played by Gillian Taylforth.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/27/618x403/so...e-birdsall.jpg

Viewers will see Fraser's first scenes next week, when he is introduced as a new client for the Roscoes' garage business.

Sandy's eldest son Joe (Ayden Callaghan) then decides to play matchmaker, determined to find a more suitable partner for his mum after learning that she is having a fling with Dodger Savage (Danny Mac).

Joe's plan pays off when Fraser turns up at the house to take Sandy on a date. However, whether she will really be prepared to give up Dodger for him remains to be seen.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/18/618x443/so...aks-3609-8.jpg

Birdsall's previous screen credits include roles in Eldorado, Bugs, The Bill and Footballers' Wives, on which he played Taylforth's on-screen husband.

He also had a small part in EastEnders last year, playing Sharon Rickman's jilted fiancé John Hewland.
