Yeah, that's right. Not gonna say more as I'm a spoilerphobe, but 4 directly follows 2 and 3 is a separate story.

Watched the cult classic Manhunter last night. Spent the entire film thinking that this is a bit Miami vice like

Only to find out it's the same director

:skull:

Child's Play (2019) - 7/10
I'd never seen the original so don't have anything to compare it to, but I quite liked this one. I don't really have much to say beyond that, the kills were cool and not too abundant like some 80s era slashers, you could care about the characters.

Suicide Squad (2016) 7/10.

Way better than I remembered. I'd had only watched it once back in 2016 at the cinema but it's not that bad tbh. Leto's Joker also wasn't as bad as I remembered.

You need to check out the original. One of the best horror movies ever!

I since have! I honestly prefer the remake, but they're both 7/10 for me :)

A.X.L.

bit of a ''transformers inspired'' movie with a robot dog

stars Becky G, Alex Neustadter, Thomas Jane, Ted McGinley

yeah overall nice enough for a B-Movie, acting work also decent i guess

Sooo years ago I loved the original Twilight movie but for whatever reason I failed to watch any sequels .

Then after seeing that Sky has all five Twilight movies I’m currently just at the start of the third movie Eclipse..

I have to say that I’m really enjoying this movie binging experience !!

Oh and I saw Alita : Battle Angel and was thoroughly entertained ..

I have to admit to being a great fan of Christoph Waltz .. I’ve really enjoyed all the movies I’ve seen him in thus far .

Started watching Eye See You with Sylvester Stallone in it last night but it was bad I had to turn it off

Tony Montana 26-05-2020 06:06 PM

The Departed (2006)

10/10.

One of Scorsese's best films packed with amazing performances from Leo, Matt, Jack and Mark. :worship:

Babayaro. 26-05-2020 06:20 PM

Watched the first hour and a bit of Cape Fear last night but turned it off because I was too tired.

I was expecting it to be amazing but it was nothing special at all?? :/

Babayaro. 26-05-2020 09:39 PM

Last Ones out - 3/10

Shite

Yeah Cape Fear was one of those movies that I got a "YOU'VE NEVER SEEN IT???" reaction about a few times. I was underwhelmed when finally watching it too.

Maybe an "of its time" movie?

That's exactly what I said to my Dad

De Niro was more cartoonish than frightening. And I can never take to Juliette Lewis. She is so WEIRD in all her performances.

Marsh. 26-05-2020 11:15 PM

:joker: Yeah, she either works in a role or she's a disaster. No in-between.

Niamh. 27-05-2020 09:40 AM

Cape fear didn't age well for me either, rewatched it a couple of years back and thought the same. Also (this might be controversial) I do like DeNiro but I think he plays the same character in every movie he's in, whether he's the good guy or the bad guy. I think there are much better actors out there

MTVN 27-05-2020 10:12 PM

Blindspotting - 8/10

What a great film this was :clap1: wasn't that crazy about the first half but by the end was totally gripped

Oh yeah definitely, he is "Robert De Niro" in most stuff, kind of like Michael Caine or Tom Cruise. Not character actors.

For me the best actual character actor is Daniel Day Lewis, he is outstanding

Also, I think Margot Robbie is an excellent character actor

Marsh. 28-05-2020 12:21 AM

Margot Robbie has improved loads. I found her performance in Suicide Squad overrated and wooden. She's much better in Birds of Prey.

One of my favourite films of all time.

Knives Out starring just about everyone... Christopher Plummer, Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Tony Collette, Jamie Lee Curtis… Very entertaining, lots of ingenious twists and turns.

8/10

Zizu 28-05-2020 01:26 PM

Well I watched all five of the Twilight series and loved every damn one of them !!
