That's her own fault really, it's not like she's doing anything else :/

'Conor 03-04-2011 07:37 PM

omg britneys deserved to be so much higher

StrathmoreBB 03-04-2011 07:43 PM

Really happy that my favourite song is at No. 1.

Shaun 03-04-2011 07:45 PM

Mary Byrne...officially better than Britney.

It's a well known fact Britney hates promo, but I do wish she would promote here. In the midweeks today it's fallen to #13, not as bad as expected, but still not good.

Singles update

1 Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull
2 LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennet & GoonRock
3 Adele
4 Black Eyed Peas
5 Katy Perry ft. Kanye West

Really shocked at Katy, E.T. isn't even in the top 10 of iTunes yet is #5 here. Just shows physical CDs do sometimes help a song out.

Smithy 05-04-2011 12:58 PM

Well if she hates promo ya can't really complain when it charts poorly

And I'm glad about ET Kanye ruined that song so much :bored:

Benjamin 05-04-2011 01:03 PM

E.T. is crap. :bored:

I wasn't complaining though, I said it was sad that it was charted so low, I didn't complain. I said I wish she would do some over here but that wasn't complaining.

any idea about the album chart?? Is Adele on for another week?

Iceman 06-04-2011 05:23 PM

Katy B is challenging Adele for the top spot in the UK albums chart this week (beginning April 4).

The London singer's debut album 'On A Mission' is currently at Number Two in the midweek charts, behind Adele's '21', which is on course to make it 11 weeks at Number One.

If '21' remains Number One on Sunday it will be the first time since 1974 that an album has topped the chart for 11 consecutive weeks. The last one to do so was Elton John's 'Greatest Hits'.

Duh! lol

But in all seriousness, I don't see anyone challenging her for the top spot yet for a good few weeks.

Smithy 06-04-2011 05:41 PM

I think this will be her last week at #1 actually, apparently it's close between her and Katy B.

Britney has absolutely nothing new or original to offer. For whatever reason, she can't do it anymore. She should just go away.

Actually, just read she wants to get into movies again. Maybe she's realised her shelf life in the music industry is coming to an end.

Yeah that's why she's got 6 number one albums to her name isn't it?

dont take the bait :)

Adele has made it an astonishing 11 weeks at number one on the UK album chart with her sophomore record 21.

The seven-times platinum LP, which was today named as the most downloaded album of all time on Amazon.co.uk, has now spent the most consecutive weeks in pole position for a solo artist's studio album.

Adele's effort previously became the fastest album to sell one million copies between January and March, and broke the record for most downloads in the UK.

The London singer also dethroned Madonna as the female artist to have spent the longest time at number one on the album chart.

Sandwiched between 21 and Adele's previous album 19 is Katy B and her debut LP On A Mission, while Jessie J completes the Brit School reunion after climbing four places to five with Who You Are.

Also shuffling upwards this week are Michael Buble's Crazy Love, which advances five spots to seven in its 77th week of release, former number one Doo Wops & Hooligans by Bruno Mars, up three to eight, and Elbow's Build A Rocket Boys!, which is at nine from last Sunday's 14.

The top ten is rounded out by a new entry from Scottish indie rockers Glasvegas entitled Euphoric/Heartbreak, while Mother's Day favourites Ronan Keating, Mary Byrne and Eva Cassidy all tumble into the double digits in the aftermath of the special day.

Keating's Burt Bacharach collaboration When Ronan Met Burt slips from three to 11, Byrne's Mine & Yours is down nine to 15 in its second week of release, while Cassidy collection Simply Eva goes from 10 to 19.

Just beyond the upper half of the chart, Katy Perry's Teenage Dream is buoyed from 31 to 22 following the release of her long-awaited E.T. video, but Chase & Status win the title of biggest climber this week with No More Idols, which is up 15 places to 24.

The top ten in full:

1. (1) Adele: '21'
2. (-) Katy B: 'On A Mission'
3. (2) Adele: '19'
4. (5) Rihanna: 'Loud'
5. (9) Jessie J: 'Who You Are'
6. (4) The Overtones: 'Good Ol' Fashioned Love'
7. (12) Michael Bublé: 'Crazy Love'
8. (11) Bruno Mars: 'Doo Wops & Hooligans'
9. (14) Elbow: 'Build A Rocket Boys!'
10. (-) Glasvegas: 'Euphoric/Heartbreak'

:worship:

E.T. looks likely to get a new peak this week, it's currently at #3 in the midweeks. Love how all of her TD singles so far have peaked in the top 3 in the UK but I would love another UK #1 with this song, which is brilliant.

LMFAO also likely to end J Lo's 2 week reign at number one.

Doogle 12-04-2011 09:54 PM

On The Floor never deserved #1 in my opinion.

Glad to see LMFAO is #1 on iTunes.

Shaun 12-04-2011 10:14 PM

I'm glad the Foos are the ones to topple her :)

Smithy 12-04-2011 10:19 PM

I could just imagine your reaction if it was Glee

Doogle 12-04-2011 11:51 PM

I hope Rebecca Black's album gets to the top spot, if she releases one.

Just to piss everyone off. :)
