The Fulham run is when I most cared about it. That run was amazing.

yeah, i followed them that year and they beat Juve, it was pretty amazing stuff

bbfan1991 15-05-2013 11:35 PM

I miss it being called the ''UEFA Cup'', nostalgia:(.

King Gizzard 15-05-2013 11:35 PM

should have kept the straight knock out phase the whole way through, or kept it the cup winners cup

bbfan1991 15-05-2013 11:35 PM

I liked it when Sevilla won the UEFA Cup vs Middlesborough and retained it the next year by beating Espanyol on penalties:D.

Cheers

I can see Swansea being a surprise package in that, maybe a run to the semi's, they'll be hard to beat in their own back yard.

King Gizzard 15-05-2013 11:37 PM

well there was only dario gradi, moyes and fergie standing in the way of that stat. guy must have had it saved up for ages

King Gizzard 15-05-2013 11:37 PM

Can see Swansea, Norwich, WBA, Hull, whoever comes up from the playoffs struggling next yar

bbfan1991 15-05-2013 11:37 PM

Guy Roux was at his beloved Auxerre for ages:o.

I think Albion will be fine if they retain most of that squad, they need to strengthen on a few places particularly up front because Lukaku might not want another loan spell and Odemwingie is going, plus Rosenberg/Fortune's futures are uncertain yet!

I agree about Hull though.

i think Lukaku does want to stay another year, can see Chelsea wanting him though

bbfan1991 15-05-2013 11:50 PM

I think he should stay at Albion tbh, he is guaranteed first team football and can continue his improvement.

I agree Hull will be many peoples predictions for relegation, but their not in bad shape as a club.

They've got a wealthy owner/chairman, they've got a young/big squad, the people of Hull were really confident before the new year that this team were gonna go up (and that's never happened before), they were a pretty consistent, hard to beat team in the championship (which is a really tough league)

They don't need to make to many signings, just maybe 1 marque signing and a strengthening the depth in 1 or 2 positions (A good keeper is probably needed)

I think they'll stay up, but I am bias

bbfan1991 15-05-2013 11:58 PM

Everton will need to improve their CM and ST options too;).

They need a striker who can score 20+ goals a season, and keep hold of Jagielka.

They can cash in on Fellaini, and spend it on a striker, do you know any available who can score 20+ a season?

Jagielka stopping and a striker scoring is a winning formula

Drew. 16-05-2013 12:04 AM

i reckon Mirallas has a 20+ season in him

Drew. 16-05-2013 12:07 PM

Frank Lampard signs one-year extension to his current Chelsea contract

Drew. 16-05-2013 12:19 PM

England squad to play Rep Ireland & Brazil: Foster, Hart, McCarthy; Baines, Cahill, Cole, Jagielka, Johnson, Jones, Lescott, Walker, Carrick, Cleverley, Lampard, Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott; Carroll, Defoe, Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck

Ryan57 16-05-2013 01:02 PM

Embarrassing midfield without Gerrard and Wilshere. And Carroll rofl.

Definitely think we'll get raped in Brazil.

King Gizzard 16-05-2013 01:18 PM

No Lowton and Gabby is a joke. Especially Gabby, second highest English goalscorer since January

King Gizzard 16-05-2013 01:18 PM

Chamberlain inclusion is a joke too

Ryan57 16-05-2013 01:29 PM

Would love to see:

Hart

Walker Jagielka Jones Cole

Carrick Lampard

Milner Rooney The Ox

Walcott

But we won't. :idc:
