i just discovered that the nutribullet is selfcleaning
just put water and a tiny bit of washing up liquid and then use the blender bit
it washes it
then empty it out and put clean water in to rinse and then dry it

or you can just run it under the hot tap

i have never used washing up liquid on mine i just rinse it with boiling water
