Portsmouth manager Paul Hart wants to bring former Liverpool full-back Steve Finnan and Croatia striker Nikola Kalinic to Fratton Park.
Hart sees Finnan as a replacement for Glen Johnson, and Kalinic as the man to fill Peter Crouch's shoes. Finnan has been released from his contract by Spanish side Espanyol just one year after leaving Liverpool. "Steve Finnan is one of many people we are interested in. As is Nikola Kalinic," said Hart. "Steve is a quality player and if you saw my list you could probably see a few more quality players there." Finnan, 33, started only three league games for Espanyol during an injury-plagued season with the Spanish club. The Republic of Ireland international was linked with a move to Tottenham or Hull in January but stayed to see out the season in Spain. Kalinic, 21, could help fill the gap left by Crouch, who joined Tottenham on Monday for a fee believed to be in the region of £10m. He has scored 32 goals in 59 league games for Hajduk Split, drawing comparisons with legendary Croatia striker Davor Suker, while national team boss Slaven Bilic describes him as "the future of Croatian football". |

Looks like Moyes is going to leave it late
Not really to fussed about new players keep it how it is Howard Nash ................................ Hibbert Jagielka Lescott Yobo Mustafi Baines ..................................... Arteta Cahill Osman Pienaar Rodwell Gosling Fellani .................................... Yakubu Jo Saha Vaughan Anichebe .............................. Could do with someone replacing Hibbert At right back And another striker since Saha and Yak and Vaughan are injury prone |
Rumours suggesting NUFC may be put into administration.

Personally I think it might happen if there is no buyer by the time their season starts. They're in limbo at the moment... no buyer, no new players, no manager, and players (i.e. Martins) declaring they're going to leave (after a 6-1 defeat to Leyton Orient). |
Could both leave..
- Real Madrid are closing in on the £26m signing of Xabi Alonso, who flew straight to Spain after returning from Liverpool's Asian tour. - Liverpool right-back Alvaro Arbeloa says he has agreed a five-year deal with Real Madrid, adding: 'My transfer is almost complete.' - After signing Crouch from Portsmouth, Huntelaar interest has cooled at white hart lane, Leaving just Arsenal in contention from the premiership (Hunelaar's preffered destination) and Ac Milan. |
