Lack of accountability from politicians is nothing new.

The mess at the border is an inherited problem and one that will likely take years to solve. It should be a priority for the new administration to solve, but you can't fix four years of human rights abuse and family separation from the previous administration over night.

It's such a typical right wing move to blame a new administration for problems it inherited from a right wing administration.

If the new administration is making strides towards reuniting families and abolishing the cruel facilities and tactics the Trump administration used, then I'm happy. If not, then things need to change, the situation at the border and the abuses that have taken place cannot be ignored.
