She worked out what was happening far too quickly imo, like the one guy disappears “OMG IT MUST BE THE BOOK!!!”

It had pacing issues but I didn't find that too unbelievable, she's a young horror writer after all, it's not unbelievable that her mind would go straight to the supernatural.

I liked Scary Stories as well

Star Wars - Attack Of The Clones - 7/10

LukeB 20-07-2020 08:40 PM

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith - 8/10 This is still by far the best prequel film out of the 3.I didn't find Hayden's performance that bad either tbh he improved from his attack of the clones performance.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 21-07-2020 10:18 PM

Little women - cute but a tad too long 7/10

Until I rewatched the Dark Knight movies recently I didn't notice how "British" they are  Batman, Commissioner Gordon, Scarecrow, Ra's, Bane, and obvioiusly Alfred are all Brits! The director too!

Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018)

Best one in the franchise yet! That bathroom fight was amazing!

I agree. I thought his performance was great in ROTS. There were some scenes that he could've worked on (his reaction after Mace Windu's death was painful) but I thought he did a great job, he's way overhated.

I Want To Eat Your Pancreas

It's name is odd to the point of distraction but it's such a warm and, at parts, devastating story that it's sad it's name will send the wrong impression.

You might think this is a film about cannibals, but it isn't. Instead it's about a boy who finds out, via her diary, that a girl in his class has what is essentially terminal pancreatic cancer (they call it an illness in the film but it seems like cancer to me). The boy is aloof and a loner but the girl is vibrant and full of life and, since he's the only person who knows about her condition, he reluctantly helps her fulfill her bucket list.

So far, so The Fault In Our Stars, or so you might think but in actuality, the film's focused less on getting you to cry and is more focused on celebrating life and the time we all have on this planet.

It's sweet and sentimental and also fairly dark at points, my only real issue with it (and it's kind of a big one) is that the ending hinges on an obnoxious character who only gets more obnoxious throughout the film and it falls a little flat at the end because of it but everything before that is enough for me to give it an 8/10.

Green Lantern (2011)

Miles better than I remember. I've only seen this once back in 2011 when it was released and I hated it, but it's not as bad. I still hate that the uniform was CGI. Reynolds was decent as Hal Jordan.

Mark Strong's Sinestro is still amazing. By far the best thing about the film. He really was born to play him. It's a shame there wasn't a sequel where he was the main villain.

7/10.

Perfect Blue

This film is horrific, haunting, and despite being over 20 years old, all too relevant in today's world. The film is about an popstar who quits music for acting but she's stalked and harassed by a fan who wants her to return to music at all costs and so he gaslights her during a shoot for a TV series that ends up ****ing with her psychologically.

It's not a film I'd ever watch again but I can't deny that it's an excellent although greatly uncomfortable film.

9/10

Just watched the four hunger games movie... got worse with each one ..

That last was seemed to spend most of the time in very dark conditions and it was so difficult to see what was going on ... what’s the idea of that anyone ?

Dumbo (1941 Movie) - I like the message that the Film is sending out, but I just didn't find it very entertaining to watch.

I think I would've faired better with it if Dumbo actually had a personality, and the villain had more development and screentime.

Overall I'm scoring the Film 4/10.

We’ve downloaded the new version of Dumbo .. hopefully it’s decent. I tend to prefer the LIVE action versions to the cartoons .

Yeah good luck with that version, I've not watched the Live Action version so I can't tell you if it's any good or not.

..Freaks, a Netflix movie...it was quite nice but it felt a bit flat....it was hard to invest in the characters and the storyline didn’t bring the suspense that it could have...6/10, I would say...

I thought this. Entertaining enough but the script just didn't make the most of the cast it had.

Although Hathaway didn't annoy me like she normally does so that's something.
