Drove through France to the Med coast and South France, then over to Spain, a fantastic road trip staying at lots of lovely places.

Yes lovely weather, nice and hot, first time we have done a road trip. Last year we had a cruise round the Med and that was amazing and the ship was awesome but you get the feel of a country more when on the road.

Over 2 weeks, our kids are grown up, so its nice to go away on our own now.
We are thinking about next year already, its a big anniversary for us so want something different. TBH, we have done a lot of Europe now and India and US, so it might be Australia or Thailand , I hate really long flights though.

Oh how many years can I ask? I went to Australia last year, it's not so bad if you break it up and do a couple of nights in Singapore or Malaysia or somewhere on the way. You would need a good few weeks for Oz though, so much to see there

(30 shhhhhhhh) and Im 46 , work that out.

I think if its Oz, we would take a month off as its so far. I hate bloody spiders to the point of fainting, which I think is the honest reason which puts me off. We have an uncle there who swears there are plenty of big ones near him:shocked:

wow!!!! That's good going, congratulations! especially getting married so young. Any tips? I've only been married 3 years so far!

I despise spiders too but if it makes you feel any better I didn't see any over there! Ours was only a short visit though for a friends wedding

Just keep things fun and dont get bored. And make really special efforts from time to time, little notes, gifts etc. (soppy I know, but no-one else need know) lol. We still have fun, our trip this year started because U2 are our fav group, we went to see then in Cardiff last year and I said I would love to see them again, so OH bought me tickets in Spain as a surprise, in the end we sailed to Roscoff and made a holiday out it all.

aw, I love to hear success stories like that! You hear of so many break ups and bad marriages, it's great to hear the good ones too. So many of my friends parents and my own parents have separated in the last few years, it's abit disheartening. We try to do all those things you've mentioned already but I suppose it's to make sure not to neglect it as time goes by!

Thats the thing, you can get complacent and we have time to time until we remind each other. My parents is another story, so I suppose it makes us determined not to be the same.

Off out for a meal and drinks tonight thank god its Friday feeling, what you up to?

Oh I love Fridays!!! I'm at work right now so I'll finish at 5, get a take away on the way home, a bottle of wine, change into my comfie cllothes and relax infront of the TV I think! My husband is on call this weekend so he can't leave the village so we'll probably just hang around home. Maybe go for a few drinks Sunday afternoon. Watch X-Factor tomorrow night of course! are you watching?

I finish 4.30 so home then, quick shower , change and to our local for a few before eating, work up an apetite (you know), lol.
We have missed a big chunk of x factor being away but will be catching up, if we are in I watch it otherwise I record and watch Sunday. I like Katie but only seen her at the start so not sure what she is like, but I did like the girl they are making a huge fuss about too, I dont remember anyone else, so will need to watch it this week.

well Katie messed up 2 out of her 3 auditions so I don't think her getting through was a popular choice! She'll have to be outstanding altogether on saturday in order to avoid the bottom 2 I reckon! Matt is my favourite followed by Rebecca, she was fantastic at the judges houses last week
