Great movie and it's on BBC iPlayer, I think.

You've never seen Trainspotting? Oh definitely add that then, that's a must see

Vanessa 15-01-2021 09:08 AM

Gladiator is another great movie I want to watch again.

Goodfellas? Casino?

Vanessa 15-01-2021 09:15 AM

Jurassic Park?

Niamh. 15-01-2021 09:17 AM

I'd go for any of those ones

Vanessa 15-01-2021 09:17 AM

Shindlers List?

Niamh. 15-01-2021 09:21 AM

You know I've never actually watched Schlindlers List so I'd definitely go for that

What?? Spielberg's masterpiece and you've not seen it? Get out of this club, at once.

I've watched it about 10 times.

Luckily for you you've seen Mulholland Drive, so you can remain in the club.

It's amazing and always has me bawling at the end :bawling:

Vanessa 15-01-2021 11:52 AM

I love Spielberg, Scorsese, Lynch.
Especially Spielberg, I think he's amazing.

Ammi 15-01-2021 12:21 PM

...I will look for Schindler’s List online to see if I can find a free view site with a good quality screening but it doesn’t seem to be only of the movie Networks...(...for free that is..)...

...just a few that are on Netflix if these are of interest...

..Defiance...(...which is also a true story...)
..The Green Mile...
...The Irishman...
...Shutter Island...
...Seven...
...American Beauty...
...Benjamin Button...
...Seven Pounds...
...A Beautiful Mind...
..American History X...

...I don’t know what people think of any of those...?..

Ammi 15-01-2021 12:21 PM

...I’ll look for Trainspotting as well, I haven’t seen that...

Niamh. 15-01-2021 12:26 PM

I've seen Shutter Island but i would re watch it. The Irish man was such a bore fest, I couldn't even finish it (cleanly gangster movies aren't really my thing  )

Niamh. 15-01-2021 12:27 PM

American Beauty honestly would just creep me out, it was already a ****ed up pervy old man movie but even worse now considering what we know about Kevin Spacey

Ammi 15-01-2021 12:28 PM

...I’m easy whatever...I’ve seen them all except the Irishman...(...but never had any real leaning to watch it as no, gangster movies are not really my thing...)...I find some of the violence in them quite difficult...

...yeah, I get that...I would find him hard to watch as well, he was one of my favourite actors, sadly...

I'm not against violent movies, Quentin Tarantino is one of my favourites, his stuff seems so gory it kind of lessens it though, if that makes sense?

I know he was one of mine too

Niamh. 15-01-2021 12:35 PM

of that list, I don't think I've watched Defiance

...I can tolerate some violence but it’s also the context/content of the rest of the movie as well, if that makes sense...there has to be so much more to offer in the movie...maybe for me, ‘gangster’ is just too much violence because that was a huge part of gangster world...I did like the Untouchables, actually, though...

...Defiance would probably be the closest movie to something like Schindler’s List...so we could say that..?...I’ve only seen it once a long time ago but I recall it to be very good...and Liev Schreiber, one of my favourite actors...

Yeah I know what you mean. I did like Scarface for some reason though

Yep, happy with that choice
