LI is boring now it doesn't deserve the ratings anymore. BB>>>

Even if it does become a problem for BB, the majority of BB17 will air whilst LI is off air as LI only has 13 days left. It's a shame because BB17 is far better than LI2.

Doesn't it have 11 days left? Pretty sure it finishes Friday 1st.

Even better.

I really hope BB production don't do anything stupid because of this to increase the ratings.

It just shows that there's a potential audience of 2.5 million for BB when you combine the BB17 rating and the Love Island rating. It's just that 1.2 million are choosing not to tune in to BB.

I think it's good that both shows can retain a 1m audience, given they're the same kind of reality show.

Sure LI audience has trebled in a year, that's great for them, although despite this it has bot affected Big Brothers ratings, which are up on last year's (not by much, but still).

It's good for both shows. ITV are certainly onto a winner with LI, and Big Brother is keeping a dedicated 1m audience, I know other C5 shows do better although to have a show that's on every night for 3 months with a guaranteed 1m viewers each night, that's a great thing.

LI is skewing extremely young it seems:

16-34s:
Big Brother: 306k... 28% skew
Love Island: 528k... 47% skew

This will be worrying for C5 who's plan was to "target young and new viewers", well obviously aint happening

Will. 20-06-2016 10:05 AM

Not great but it not that big of a deal as LI is over soon.

It's still up on last year which got 901K with +1.

Will. 20-06-2016 10:08 AM

Love Island ends on July 1st.

So BB will have around 5 weeks without LI as competition.

*mazedsalv** 20-06-2016 10:21 AM

Oh dear.

Tonight will be bad. BB was on at 10pm as always but now LI have pushed their show also to 10pm because of the Euro England match.

Ugh they need to both stop putting together.

LI would suit 10PM better and BB at 9PM imo.

Will. 20-06-2016 10:27 AM

Oh didn't realise England are playing tonight.

I'll accept this because anything facing the England match is ratings suicide. All the main channels have even given up.

But apart from that, I agree, they should put BB at 9pm and LI at 10pm, or vica versa. Can't wait to see how the officials do for the first few days (Launch-Sunday)

Oh yes I forgot officials today! YAY!

I think considering all the competitions it's doing well.

I think LI at 10 as it appeals mainly to teenagers so that's a good time.

Euro's end around the same time as LI.

Euro's don't end until 10th July. And BB will clash with the huge games because even if they don't, the extra time/penalties will... so BB is screwed unti the 10th,

*mazedsalv** 20-06-2016 10:59 AM

This will be annoying, I've noticed that C5 haven't appeared on BARB in weeks and weeks....

I don't think we will EVER get BB officials!!!!!!!!!!

TomC 20-06-2016 11:01 AM

Oh really? So no BB officials?

Well they haven't released C5 stuff for ages now. Ffs :(

supertv247 20-06-2016 11:14 AM

Don't worry, I noticed this too but they HAVE been uploading the 'Channel 5 total' figures which is C5 and C5+1 so we will have them!

Jason. 20-06-2016 11:35 AM

I swear LI is on longer than 1 July as it's 6 weeks and it started on 30th May so 1st July would mean it's 4/5 weeks - unless they've cut it short idk

But good for ITV2 with that LI rating - it's annoying that this year LI is getting as high as BB17 as it's a good series so far but last year Timebomb, which was dire, obliberated LI1 in the ratings

Jason. 20-06-2016 11:37 AM

Slay @ Miss Zara Holland bringing in the ratings tho :clap1:

Here for her being in CBB18

Rob! 20-06-2016 12:06 PM

Wait what :umm2: I didn't think that would ever happen.

LI is killing it this year. ITV must be over the moon.
