The problem when it's not real stakes is that it doesn't really matter. I could have offered cherie 20k and she wouldn't have taken it. I wouldn't if it was me, either.

I did have an idea to turn it into a competition, so the amounts from your first round decide which person you're up against in the 2nd round, so there would eventually be a final. Then when there are stakes (to qualify,beat the person), then the offers become more relevant. I only had the idea just before it kicked off and I didn't explain it very well - just like here!

I would imagine on the show, the banker wants the person to earn something, but because that doesn't work on here, I tried to make it my mission for the person to earn as little as possible. If there would have been big numbers left, i wouldn't have offered low numbers.

We could potentially do this. My brains can't compute the scoring though :joker: I'd need substantial help keeping track. Ammi is far better than me in this respect. And Slim too I must say.

So the first round would be

Cherie has 75k
Nicky gets 2k
Annie gets 1p
Niamh gets 25k


Round 2 is Cherie (highest amount) v Annie (lowest amount), then whatever they score decides whether they go into the final. The only issue is that after the first round, Kate, Ammi, and I would have to keep the final amounts secret until everyone completed the round.

It might create an opportunity for offers to become relevant if they don't know what their opponent has already scored.

Cherie ends up with 20k in round 2, Annie doesn't know this, so she has 5k, 10k, and 75k left on the board. I offer her 19k she may accept that, not knowing that it isn't enough. Or I might offer her 30k, and she doesn't accept it and ends up with the 5k.

That sounds spot on. There are 9 competitors so we will eliminate 1 after round 1.

Need to make it so that every time competitors open more boxes, they have to post all the box numbers they've already opened. We can call this the Cherie rule, to avoid games taking longer than travelling to the next galaxy.
