They will struggle with the jury vote, and I just don't feel rhe televote will make the difference or if many countries will get onto the whole sympathy bandwagon

Crimson Dynamo 13-05-2022 02:53 PM

It's not which country do you feel sorry for but I'd guess all the Facebook look iv got a Ukraine flag now users will vote that terrible song as they think they are sticking it to Putin?

In some ways if it does win it will as Bots says show the whole thing up for what it really is

bots 13-05-2022 03:17 PM

next years event will be live from a bunker

Pathetic

Babayaro. 13-05-2022 07:39 PM

a week or so ago i’d said our entry wasn’t all that, but after hearing it a few more times it has definitely grew on me :clap1:

Babayaro. 13-05-2022 07:39 PM

That's not new it's been political for decades :joker:. Eurovision is just about the spectacle... it doesn't really matter who wins.

MTVN 13-05-2022 08:00 PM

It's always been semi political but you've never been able to rely solely on that and let's not act like this situation is 'normal' or representative of general Eurovision history. Supporting a country that's been invaded/suffered thousands of deaths/millions displaced is a bit more of an extreme circumstance than any other year and can be forgiven for this contest surely

bots 14-05-2022 06:07 AM

eurovision has always been about the bizarre acts on display, the awful songs and the way "judges" award points

That won't change tonight

Nicky91 14-05-2022 07:38 AM

not so much about bizarre acts this year

too many sad songs doing well :idc: :idc: ew ew ew ew ew

one of worst contests results wise this year

poor Malta, Ireland, Austria, Israel, Latvia whom at least send lovely uplifting feel good bops and don't make it, because depressing **** gets too overhyped

Nicky91 14-05-2022 07:57 AM

hoping for lowest viewer ratings ever for tonight's final

:inamood:

ArgyESC 14-05-2022 08:11 AM

British people finding excuses for their bad results instead of realizing their songs are not good enough, nothing new

Malta also wants to withdraw from the contest next year if Ukraine wins, then the contest has become too political

and have filed a complaint to the EBU to ban Ukraine from this years final last minute

Vanessa 14-05-2022 08:37 AM

Maneskin are back tonight. I'm so excited!

Vanessa 14-05-2022 08:39 AM

That's what I'm here for. The bizarre staging and costumes. That's why I think Norway is so brilliant.
They're what Eurovision is all about. Fun

what fun? a very depressing year :idc:

could rather have 40 songs from Ukraine next year, hope more follow Malta's example next year and withdraw

And yet they won. I think they're brilliant.
Of course I know not everyone likes glam rock.

Vanessa 14-05-2022 08:49 AM

Ukraine winning would be the best result for me.
I really hope they can do it.
It would mean so much for them.

Nicky91 14-05-2022 01:43 PM

I just hope that people will be happy with a top 10 finish, and don't kick up a huge stink when we lose.

A good time slot though.
