Coronavirus Outbreak :Downing St.Prime Minister with Chris Whitty Live 5PM 15/12/21
Quote:
If we had the hospital and medical staffing capacity to care for everyone who gets sick (and needs assistance) then I’d probably agree with you but unfortunately - largely thanks to the Tories deliberately underfunding for the last 10+ years - we do not. If too many people get ill to the level of needing hospital care at the same time, it will not be available, and people who could easily have lived, will die. That’s not to mention the number who will die from other medical conditions because of the extra strain on medical resources. |

Yes but Peston and Tom Newton Dunn
are doing Daily Tests. |
Regular testing is the way to approach this i think. I did an 8 hour round trip on the train last weekend including central london and have tested myself every couple of days just to make sure im not unclean

Apparently your understanding of what a virus looks like is painfully simplistic. You can carry and spread EBOLA - a virus that can kill 60%+ of people infected and makes you literally bleed out of your eyeballs - without knowing it. And you’re over here like “lol i’d know it in me bones if I had Covid”. |

This pandemic has made many forum members into medical experts. I'm still going by my medical knowledge I had from my entire life upto 2019. I missed the part when I was supposed to forget all that and change it.

COVID-19:
British tourists to be banned from France amid rise in Omicron cases [From Saturday morning, France is banning travel to and from the UK without "compelling reasons". Paris says the "compelling reasons" do not include travel for tourism and business. French nationals and their spouses are exempt from the new rules.] https://news.sky.com/story/covid-19-...cases-12497105 |

What I want to know is how the government can tell people testing positive at home have the new or old variant.
