need to be ourselves".

She said that "recently I think our party has lost its sense of self" and that it needed to
"get back to" its standard messages of "low tax, small state, personal responsibility".

Actually I don't think Sunak should win this myself.
To be fair, Johnson is rightly condemned for his fine for breaking his covid laws.

Had he just brought the gathering to an end he wouldn't have been fined.
However Sunak was fined too.
So as Chancellor he should have said the gathering was wrong.

It's not really fair that he gets to carry on regardless while Johnson has that fine as part of his downfall.

Zahawi though, I've never taken to him.
They termed Gove a snake, I think Zahawi earns that badge much more than Gove.

Same, I think it is likely he will pull out today and back Rishi, really hoping Rishi doesn't get in

I felt that way too myself as a Labour member.
Until this morning and her main launch.

As I said I felt it brought back Theresa May's kind of style.

Time will tell though.
This is very early days yet.
I fear 2 boring sets of a general election campaign possibly looming under a Mordaunt led Con Party and for goodness sake,a please wind.him up Starmer.

Penny Mordaunt was asked after her campaign speech where she stood on gender
issues.

She said: “I think it was Margaret Thatcher that said that ‘every prime minister needs a
Willie’. A woman like me doesn’t have one.” :joker:

Asked to define a woman, Ms Mordaunt said: "I am a woman, I am biologically a
woman, and I can tell you that if you have been in the Royal Navy and you have
competed physically against men you understand the biological difference between men
and women."
