Point is right wing & the BBC can't say they're impartial or whatever and then do this, Linekar isn't the only celeb to tweet strong opinions . If he did this live on air on MOTD then I could maybe understand the upset. But he did it on twitter like the what most of them do .

But at the same time loads of people took part in Qatar because they saw it as a big opportunity. I guess it depends how passionate you are about your morals, I think for some this was just another job in Qatar and others did a bit of Virtue signalling .

Lineker's Past Tax Issues

In 2012, he was forced to pay £4.9 million in back taxes after being found to
have used a tax avoidance scheme.

I guess he isnt bothered about how much illegals cost as he avoids paying tax?

#impartial

Except you know, the leadership giving Boris loans, Fiona Bruce excusing Stanley Johnson's domestic abuse, Alan Sugar being allowed to be impartial by going after Mick Lynch, Laura Kuensberg entire show being a tory mouthpiece, Andrew Neil being allowed to be impartial while Linekar isn't. Jeremy Clarkson saying he'd want to shoot people who go on strike and still being employed until years later.

It's all so left wing!

The BBC being left leaning has to be the biggest joke ever as to it being so.
Nonsense more like.

It's like they hand pick everytime harder line Cons for the major political interviewing and presenting programmes.

It's got far worse under this detestable lot in governnent now too.

GoldHeart 11-03-2023 03:14 PM

Question Time is unwatchable, I accidentally tuned in the other week and regretted it .

It's a ploy to keep moving it further rightwards. Then as soon as they shift, the cries of left bias start up again to keep moving it and moving it.

Crimson Dynamo 11-03-2023 03:17 PM

The BBC broadcaster Andrew Marr, has pointed to the diverse nature of the BBC, which he
describes as employing, “an abnormally large proportion of younger people, of people in
ethnic minorities and almost certainly of gay people”, which is what he suggests fuels the
BBC’s “innate liberal bias”.

Here we go …

Matt Le Tissier hits out at Ian Wright claiming his solidarity with Gary Lineker is 'completely contradictory', as he states the Match of the Day host didn't support him when he was sacked by Sky Sports

At the time of Le Tissier's sacking, Wright said that the former Saints striker, Nicholas and Thompson had an 'unbelievable run' and wished them all the best.

He said: 'Matt Le Tissier, Charlie Nicholas, Phil Thompson, they've had an unbelievable run, it's been a great show. This happens to everyone in the industry

So then...

Firstly suella herself in an interview on the beeb admitted the number was around 45k.That's a touch more than an Everton crowd when they're playing one of the big teams. And you think that amount of people can cause society to collapse?

You are completely right that you don't deserve this, no one does. But the state of the country was a choice made by those in power. What we are seeing now can be traced back to Cameron and Osbourne's austerity that stripped services back so much, that any crisis that came after them has left the country completely on it's arse.

As always with these things, there is always a kernel of common sense and truth in what you say, but if you've watched the liars in charge for 12 years promise you things that haven't materialised then those are the people to hold to account, not fvuking boats for gods sake. There is a huge amount of wealth in this country, more than enough to go round, but choices have been made to keep funnelling it upwards in the pretense that it will trickle down eventually. It's a lie that's been sold for decades that's so pervasive we have working class people defending billioniaires.

The only man with solutions to address the structual issues was hounded out by the same establishment you believe are just about to cure the ills of the country by stepping on other peoples necks instead of your own.

Don't get me wrong, voting labour at the next election will keep you in exactly the same place you are now - a party in thrall to capital and corporations as much as the tory party.

Basically we had 2 chances to avoid this in 17 and 19, and course correct, but what you are seeing now is the ultimate end game of capitalism. You can blame anyone you want, but the liars that sold you a dud brexit to stop immigration are getting the band back together to sell you a story about the boat people invading us.

People bang on in this country about WWII and the greatest generation. Well they came back from the horrors of WWII and chose a socialist fair society that created the NHS, free education, a welfare state to help those struggling, and that has now been taken apart bit by bit, so I'm not saying everyone should think like I do, I'm just saying maybe we should respect the aims and wishes of the "greatest generation" that actually went through through the **** that the Galahads constantly bang on about?

I like you, Alf. I think you're genuinely a good dude, and if ever you want to run through ideas, then my PM's are always open to you.

Here is Adolf Hitler: “If the international Jewish financiers should succeed in
plunging the nations once more into a world war, the result will not be the
Bolshevization of the earth and thus the victory of Jewry, but the annihilation of
the Jewish race in Europe.”

Here, in the video that so upset Lineker, is Braverman: “We are committed to
helping those in need, like the hundreds of thousands of people we have
supported from Ukraine, Afghanistan and Hong Kong in recent years. But it’s
not fair that people who travel through a string of safe countries and then come
to the UK illegally can jump the queue.”

the bbc is very much left leaning. There may be a few presenters with right wing views, but the vast majority of staff are of a left persuasion. The evidence for this is in their news presentation and general program output. It's like i was saying earlier, people are not impartial, it's not in their nature to be impartial and that's why the mandatory licence fee is becoming more and more untenable. People wouldn't give a crap if they weren't forced to pay for it

Just saying something doesn't make it true.

Andrew Neil was allowed to Chair the Spectator, Alan Sugar has criticised the strikes and on one occasion told people to vote Tory.

Apprentice boss Lord Sugar urges Labour supporters to vote Tory to escape Brexit quagmire

One good thing is, no one can accuse the BBC of being leftist anymore. They've crushed the 'Woke BBC' narrative with this single actions. Now we have to ask how far right is the BBC?

Lineker isn't wrong anyway regarding his opinions, that the woke BBC cannot handle the truth, that is their problem

It does for the right wingers, they’ve made an entire political identity from making things up and being angry over it
