First up is Vanessa and Kai Paso Doble to You don't know me from Wentworth Maru: The song has two layers to it for me and the dance rightly picks up on both the drama portion and the general vibe. 9 Annie: Mean and Moody Paso. Good choice! 9 Oliver: 7 Kate: I like the fact that you took a risk with this unusual choice. 9 Niamh: Excellent choice, that's a very difficult dance with a limited theme so this was perfection, well done. 10! Score: 44 |
Next is Barry and Dianne Quickstep to I'll be there for you from Friends Maru: Fun dance vibe to go with the giddy nature of the song. 8 Annie: Brilliant - fast and furious. Loved it. 10! Oliver: 9 Kate: Bravissimo, really enjoyed this. 9 Niamh: Decent fit. Good song. 8 Score: 44 |
Next is Alf and Jowita Couples Choice to Fame from Fame Maru: Very entertaining combination. 9 Annie: Iconic theme - great dance 10! Oliver: 8 Kate: this paid off, very good choice. 9 Niamh: a poppin' classic! 10! Score: 46 |
Next is Cherie and Vito Argentine Tango to the theme from Dexter Maru: Sexy combination, which is a bit scary because it's Dexter. AND it's instrumental. Very creative. 10! Annie: Took a while to get going but then it was great. 8 Oliver: 8 Kate: I didn't feel this as much as other entries but still merits an 8. 8 Niamh: Right, I'm a MASSIVE Dexter fan and this is not the Theme tune to it, it's the end credits song, you could argue a technicality and say its the end theme but that's not "Thee" Theme tune and I'm being rigid on this so I'm going to deduct 2 points from my score. It fit very well so I would have given a 9, I'm now reducing that to a 7 for not fitting the theme properly. 7 Score: 41 |
