When someone said something about Leona, you told them to stop being childish. So perhaps you should learn from your own critique of others?
That person started saying "Shameeee Leona didn't win" which is actually childish, I haven't said anything like that about Kate Nash. All I've said is she's had a few charting singles. That isn't childish, it's stating a fact.

If your talking about me then...

Er..No

I said

"Looks like leona not going to win tonight"

and when i said that i think calling me childish when i said that was fairly out of order as i was only saying it in a factful way because it wasnt likely she would win the best album.

Wtf. You said "shame Leona didn't win" and I know you did because I was shocked at how childish and pathetic it was.

Calling someone who beat your favourite at an award "talentless" is fairly childish. If she's talentless and still beat Leona, I wonder what that makes Leona?
It makes her someone who was unfairly beaten, and she graciously accepted that. It really does say something about British music if someone who had a "one hit wonder" can was awarded a Brit over a critically acclaimed singer who sold almost 4 million records in a year in the UK alone.

Conzors 20-02-2008 10:17 PM

No..
He said

I dont think Leona Is going to win any.

And that isnt childish..

He saying what he thinks..

LIke what a forum is supposed to be like.

Rubbish, "Best British Woman" isn't just the woman who sold the most records. No one was unfairly beaten - even when my favourites lost, it was all fair, whether I agreed with the decision or not, and it is starting to appear that you are slightly too stubborn to be able to withold the same attitude.

Yes i did say "Well Done Take That, shame leona didnt win:tongue:", as a joke, a joke I am most likely to say something like that as im not a Leona fan, clearly you have took this the wrong way, just because leona didnt get an award tonight

Me stubborn? I have an opinion on tonights show which you are clearly trying to change. Naturally I'm disappointed Leona lost and I'm going to defend her. And I was stating a true opinion on Kate Nash, I felt she didn't deserve it because in my view, Best British Female should go to the female which actually had success and really put being a British artist on the map, not only in the UK. Having one hit song shouldn't make you Britains Best Female.

Same, if i am coming across argumentative i don't mean to, im just trying to get everyone to see past this, that just because that someone didn't win doesnt mean that there where cheated of the award it just means that whoever chose the winner didnt think were not worthy of it. after all if the brits was serious half the people wouldnt turn up because most people see it as a great night of fun/music.

MarkWaldorf 20-02-2008 10:52 PM

I'm sorry if I have offended, but I find it a joke Leona didn't get at least one.

And im sorry for doing "Shame Leona....etc..." I understand how you must feel that yout think Leona was "robbed" of an award, i have felt like that before at the brits. And i shouldn't of really said that probably because it made you more p**ssed off.

Princess 20-02-2008 11:29 PM

Hah it seems I'm only the one who think TT deserved their awards!

Shine is still in the Top 75(well it was about 2 weeks ago anyways) and its been out around a year. Morrisons apprently put people off but I wouldn't know as we don't have that here! The Thatters went all out voting for TT,I personally posted comments on about 100+ peoples bebos as I ccouldn't vote.

They definitely deserved 'Best Live Act'. I don't think any of you actually know what a TT show is like, its absolutly phenomeal-they sing, they dance, they have incredible songs. 'Rule the World' for example included a clip from Stardust, ton loads of smoke, them singing while walking over a bridge to the B-stage and then going around on travelators around a massive glitter ball. Ohh and theres lasers, lots of lasers. I'm rambling I know but they REALLY REALLY did deserve live act. They performed to over half a million people last year-325,000 in London and Manchester alone.

Oh and I think Leona deserved an award, but this is her first year, shes extremly talented and she is destined to win more Brits in the future!

MarkWaldorf 20-02-2008 11:34 PM

No offence taken Xander. :bouncy:

I'm over it now. As Laura said, it's her first year and she's probably going to get many more awards this year.
