The Hunger Games - 6/10 - Meh not really my kinda film, plus there was a few bits in it that were dragged out far too much, I actually shouted "Oh ffs hurry up" at the screen a couple of times.

Avengers - 8/10 - Now this is my kinda film, loved every bit of it, the cast were amazing especially Chris Hemsworth & Robert Downey JR

Dark Shadows - 7/10 - Expected it to be a lot funnier than what it was.

Well me obviously or I wouldnt have posted it, now do you actually have something you want to contribute to this thread or are you just trying to bait like you normally do?

Hugo. Really nice family film, amazing cast and the special effects are lovely. 8/10 because not a lot happens.

I'm going to order that next... is it ok for younger kids?

Locke. 08-09-2012 03:15 AM

Moneyball - 9/10

I don't know the first thing about Baseball but this was amazing, should have done a clean sweep at the Oscars. Was shocked to see someone playing John Henry (Liverpool owner) in it aswell.

Yeah :) nothing really scary happens

Lee. 08-09-2012 08:47 AM

The Hunger Games. It was ok but not anywhere near as good as the book, and I still think Peeta should have been played by somebody with more charisma and a stronger face.

thesheriff443 08-09-2012 08:51 AM

three stooges and it was much better than ted!.

Mel Brooks' 'Young Frankenstein' on telly last night. Brilliant spoof, seen it loads of times but it still makes me laugh. Probably in my top ten funniest films ever.

The Possession, was quite scary

Right now watching I know my first name is Steve Payner. True story of a boy that was abducted by a paedophile at 7 and escaped at 14! :cloud:

This is the vile **** :cloud:

Quote:

In January 2003, Parnell was arrested again after trying to coerce his caregiver into buying him a four-year-old boy.[4] Parnell was, by this time, 71 years old and in ill health, suffering from diabetes and emphysema, plus other ailments brought on by a stroke which he had suffered earlier, requiring near 24-hour-a-day nursing care in his cluttered apartment in the 2600 block of Mathews Street in Berkeley.

The caregiver, Diane Stevens, was aware of Parnell's past and cooperated with police in setting up a sting operation that would lead to his arrest. According to Diane Stevens' testimony, Parnell requested that the child have a "clean" rectum, indicating sexual intentions.[5] He paid $100 for a birth certificate and had $400 on his person for the completion of the transaction when he was to receive the child on January 3, 2003. Parnell was arrested that day.[5]
Why the **** am I watching this ****. Making me sick and so damn angry at the same time and it's only 10 mins in

Jake. 09-09-2012 12:56 AM

Jesus that's sick.

Tomorrow Never Dies - 7/10
A good film in its own right but it had too much to live up to after the incredible Goldeneye (my favourite Bond film along with FRWL). It has some great action sequences, especially the remote control car chase in the multi storey, but Jonathan Pryce is laughably bad in some scenes. Not a patch on the great Sean Bean's Alec Trevelyan.

Safe - 7.5/10
One of The Stath's better films, along with The Transporter and Crank. The plot is slightly more interesting than his usual films, but his American accent leaves something to be desired. Overall, very much worth a watch.

The Jobbers 4/10

It was alright, nothing special i suppose.. it was about these two men called David and Leon and basically they were useless at everything so then some guy called Andy had to come along from a far away town and help them make something of their lives and they eventually did that with Leon becoming a gardener and David becoming a binman ( sorry for the spoilers by the way ) Andy went onto become a multi billionaire as well which i thought was a nice ending to the film

The Prestige - 9.7/10

The Directors Cut ending was a particular highlight of this movie I think, when Andy's eyes opened and he climbed out of bed, walked down the stairs and noticed his long term partner LegendKiller cooking up some bacon and eggs in the kitchen, as the couple ate their breakfast and mulled over their mornings they began to get ready for work, and it was not too long until the bintruck pulled up outside and Andy walked out and began to get on with his job and clean up everyones rubbish. It also turned out that LegendKiller was the gardner, and then on Andy's way home from work he walked past the big multi-million pound mansion in the City that belonged to his idol, Lord David the III, and then Andy remembered that dream he had had the night before.

The Bourne Legacy
http://i.imgur.com/xEX09.jpg
Didn't think I'd like it, but there were some very memorable scenes.

Dredd
http://i.imgur.com/fbpJq.jpg
I watched it in 3D, and I'm still not convinced that it makes for a better movie experience, however during this there were a few scene that it worked really well. Anyway the film had some good characters, and it was pretty exciting.

Shadow Dancer

Slightly depressing, but I thought it seemed to be good insight into a secretive and suspicious world.

Lawless
http://i.imgur.com/dXHdg.jpg
Packed with good actors, and the story was gripping.

The Possession
http://i.imgur.com/WUwDc.jpg
Creepy and horrory, it's meant to be base on a true story, but I tried tracking it down, and couldn't find much, it seems to have been made up around the idea of a jewish evil spirit box. Enjoyably nonetheless.

Total Recall
http://i.imgur.com/a3Ulq.jpg
Thought provoking and fun, I'd watch it again.

Anna Karenina
http://i.imgur.com/G5Fg7.jpg
It's like a play, so once I got used to that, it was an interesting film, I think there were about three different tales of love in russia in 1870s.
