Is there any major releases next weekend? If not then I can see MLJ getting a week, it keeps climbing to #1 on iTunes.

Quote:

September 25
Delilah: 'Go'
Skylar Grey: 'Invisible'
Sugababes: 'Freedom'
Thats just from DS could well be more.

Jordan. 25-09-2011 08:45 PM

Moves Like Jagger deserves #1 next week it's held up for weeks now.

Smithy 25-09-2011 08:47 PM

Isn't that loca song released this week?

Z 25-09-2011 09:13 PM

Sugababes have derailed again, not too sure what the deal is but apparently Freedom is now no longer a single but just a "promotional buzz" and is being distributed for free through Amazon?! So I've no idea if that means it's eligible to chart or what - but it's not been playlisted by Radio 1 or Capital FM so it seems like they've decided to give up rather than be embarrassed further...

Doogle 25-09-2011 09:20 PM

Invisible deserves to be #1, but I want MLJ more

Joelle. 26-09-2011 01:23 AM

A contender for worst No.1 of the year, but then again what isn't a contender this year?

Moves Like Jagger should just permanently become number 1 to prevent any more awful **** getting it.

Iceman 26-09-2011 12:37 PM

I'd love Invisible to chart well. Has she gotten any Radio Play over there?

Iceman 28-09-2011 05:08 PM

Bad Meets Evil continue to climb the charts :D number 10 in the update....will probably make 11-12 though

Callum 28-09-2011 05:24 PM

Sak Noel is number one as well :( Sad day for the music industry

Doogle 28-09-2011 05:28 PM

Iceman 28-09-2011 06:05 PM

Doogle 28-09-2011 06:34 PM

All day all night

Callum 28-09-2011 06:49 PM

I can't see MLJ getting to number one at all now. Sad because I actually think it's one of Maroon 5's strongest singles ever and it deserves to be #1 over some of the tripe that's topping our chart week in week out.

Jordan. 28-09-2011 06:49 PM

I thought to myself... what the fuck

andy191 28-09-2011 07:13 PM

When I came to Spain, and I saw people partying, I thought my myself...

Iceman 02-10-2011 05:08 PM

Nirvana's Nevermind re-enters at Number 5 on the album charts, 548th week on the chart :worship:

Iceman 02-10-2011 05:12 PM

Bad Meets Evil Ft Bruno Mars finally cracks the top 10 :amazed: only took 16 weeks

Rihanna has broken a UK singles chart record by taking her latest track 'We Found Love' to number one.

The Bajan singer becomes the first female solo artist to top the chart six times in five consecutive years, having previously held pole position with 'Umbrella', 'Take A Bow', 'Run This Town', 'Only Girl (In The World)' and 'What's My Name' between 2007 and January this year.

'We Found Love', which also features veteran producer Calvin Harris, sold over 87,000 copies within just four days of release. It serves as the lead track from Rihanna's upcoming sixth studio album Talk That Talk.

Rihanna's late arrival prevents Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera from finally breaking through to the top spot, as 'Moves Like Jagger' settles for second-place for a sixth week in a row.

Outgoing number one 'Loca People' by Sak Noel drops down to third, One Direction gain a place with 'What Makes You Beautiful' at four and Goo Goo Dolls finish the top five with 'Iris', which leapt back to the single digits last Sunday after it was covered by X Factor finalist Frankie Cocozza.

A few spots behind are electric hip-hop duo LMFAO, who glide to seven from 20 with the week's highest climber 'Sexy And I Know It'.

Elsewhere, Pixie Lott crashes out of the Top 10 for the first time with 'All About Tonight', down five to 14, David Guetta and Usher team-up 'Without You' jumps to 15 from 18 and Rihanna celebrates a second appearance in the Top 20 on Nicki Minaj track 'Fly', which is up eight at 16.

Calvin Harris and Bruno Mars fall five apiece to 18 and 19 with 'Feel So Close' and 'Marry You', while the top 20 concludes with Charlene Soraia and her cover of The Calling classic 'Wherever You Will Go', a new entry this Sunday.

The Top 10 in full:

1. (-) Rihanna ft. Calvin Harris: 'We Found Love'
2. (2) Maroon 5 ft. Christina Aguilera: 'Moves Like Jagger'
3. (1) Sak Noel: 'Loca People'
4. (5) One Direction: 'What Makes You Beautiful'
5. (3) Goo Goo Dolls: 'Iris'
6. (4) Dappy: 'No Regrets'
7. (20) LMFAO: 'Sexy And I Know It'
8. (6) James Morrison: 'I Won't Let You Go'
9. (7) Jason Derulo: 'It Girl'
10. (10) Bad Meets Evil ft. Bruno Mars: 'Lighters'
Poor Maroon 5

Rihanna needs to go away for a while, already releasing songs from her 6th album wile still on her Loud tour. Quite bad really.

Joelle. 10-10-2011 05:16 PM

I can't believe that's Number 1 when Cheers hasn't even left the Top 20 yet. People obviously can't get enough of her. Moves Like Jagger is obviously very close considering it topped the chart update, hope it gets at least one week at the top.

Shaun 16-10-2011 05:26 PM

some soppy girly version of "Wherever You Will Go" charted at #7; the original only #25 :suspect:

Smithy 16-10-2011 06:04 PM

^

Coz it's being used in a twinings advert atm
