Britney's upcoming material for her new album is "more energetic," according to a source via x17online.com.

"Right after this year's Grammy Awards, Britney met with all of the producers for her next album to explain the vibe she's looking to capture," said the source. "Brit, who is co-writing many of the songs, explained that she's looking to give the new album a vibe like the song Get Naked from Blackout."

The source continues to say Britney is "not only a hard worker, but an incredible mother," and has recruited many of the same producers from her "Blackout" CD, including Bloodshy & Avant ("Piece of Me"), Danja ("Gimme More") and Corte Ellis.

This new album "will be like Blackout times 100!"

The album is rumored for a summer release, but the project may be pushed back. But the source says we'll hear new Britney music on the radio very soon!

Calls to Jive Records were not immediately returned.

tbh Britney and her fans need to let Blackout go. It's done, there's no pride in desperately trying to recreate that sound again and again [see Circus; 3] and failing for the most part. Evolution is the way forward.

I'd love a Blackout 2.0 but improved.. but I'd rather have an In the Zone 2.0 improved, or something totally new.

yeah until Jive cut some songs rumour has it there were quite a few more dance tracks on circus, I think Jive know they need to make Britney much more appealing so hope they do he ITZ and Blackout 2.0.

But i hope britney adds a new sound to her album to something she hasnt done or no one else has one.

I just want something that has alot of her heart in it. Something she is passionate about.

So more optimistic for this now after reading all this. :love: Blackout 2.0 please!
