They're actually really talented

prefer it to the original

David Guetta and Sia beat Alyssa Reid to no. 1 and Lana Del Rey also climbed into the top 10 this week at 9 with Born to Die. The album unsurprisingly debuted at no. 1.

Love Titanium, the best Guetta has come up with. And those vocals

Gotye has the new UK #1 with Somebody That I Used to Know :D

Jordan. 12-02-2012 05:58 PM

Great #1 this week

Too bad about this:

1. Gotye - Somebody That I Used to Know (feat. Kimbra) - 1.000000
2. DJ Fresh - Hot Right Now - 0.882660 :bored:

Jords 12-02-2012 06:09 PM

About time  :amazed:   :elephant:

:bored: We've had two great number ones in a row and now I bet it'll go back to being crap number ones again starting with that horrible song next Sunday.

Doogle 12-02-2012 06:28 PM

I just went to about halfway through this thread and saw everyone listening to the chart and counting it down whilst predicting the top 10 and giving thoughts on the songs, back in Summer 2009 :joker: Wish this thread was still like that, but the chart goes on for too long and I get bored.

Saph 12-02-2012 06:28 PM

Dont like this song :suspect:

Patrick 12-02-2012 06:37 PM

-Goes to listen-

meh, I feel like I should be pleased that there's no auto tune and that it's not chavy and that it sounds like real music with meaningful lyrics..

But it's not that good.

nicole_burks 12-02-2012 06:42 PM

He was on the radio this morn :amazed:

I have sirius xm in my car, and they played this song.

(didn't realize he was british)

Maybe if majority of the sales were not discounted it would have done better...

Most of the purchases were disqualified because it was offered as an instant grat to anyone who pre-ordered the album. If they had been included it would have charted much higher.

Harry! 12-02-2012 07:08 PM

FYI the Give Me All Your Luvin' download with MDNA was NOT free. Many fans have reported that 99p WAS taken from accounts.

Jordan. 12-02-2012 07:15 PM

Madonna is still @ 37 on itunes so even if all the sales were counted, she'd still have a massive fall next week.

Oh and DJ Fresh has already overtaken :bored:

Yeah exactly but the chart people don't care about that, because it was offered as part of a pre-order all sales were not counted.

Madonna has always been a big physical seller anyway, I remember Celebration didn't do that well on iTunes but with physicals combined it made the top 3. Hopefully same thing will happen with GMAYL.

Added together the vast MAJORITY of sales were sold Sunday-Tuesday!!! It is not about literally how many days it is about the amount of sales perchased.

Casual fans would not have perchased another copy if they got it for "free".

At least it did better than Miles Away, which reached number 39 with no promo.

As Callam has said it made the top 3 and that had very little promo.

even if they were counted though, it'd have only charted in the 20's, it's been selling crap all week

Like I previously said Madonna has always been a big physical seller. Even though it's out of trend to buy physical CD singles these days, Madonna still manages to do well from them so when GMAYL is released physically it could still go top ten.

reece(: 12-02-2012 08:00 PM

can't wait for Rita's first number one next week

Smithy 19-02-2012 07:04 PM

Emeli Sandé got #1 album :worship:

Rebecca Ferguson is up to #10

Gotye was #4 & Whitney sold 78,000 copies of various albums

Hot Right Now #1 single, even though it shoulda been Emeli

Madonna flopped harder than a sack of **** and fell to 51 http://gagadaily.com/public/style_em...fault/lmao.gif

Harry! 19-02-2012 07:17 PM

Madonna has done hardly any promo other then the Super Bowl so it does not surprise me, maybe if it had done better the week before more people would have noticed it...

Also Radio stations are refusuing to play the song of ageist grounds.
