Well if your favourite character is going to be killed off I suppose an episode like that is the best way for them to go, it was a very nice and fitting end to Tyreese's character. I felt like there was still more for him to give but I'm fine with them keeping the stakes high and killing off characters regularly because it's realistic of what would happen in a world like that.

I'm re-watching that part to listen. I hate hearing him in his regular accent... I love his fake one so much more.. haha

Gutted that Tyreese was killed, thought once they cut off his arm he may have pulled of a Hershel and survived. Also really intrigued as to how they're going to re-introduce Morgan too. Overall it was a great opening to the second half of the series
|
Well they introduced Father Gabriel and Noah earlier in this season and then killed off the original 2 black characters in Tyreese and Bob to make up for that, so I imagine they'll add Morgan to the main cast once they decide which one of Noah and Father Gabriel they want to kill off

I like that it wasn't a super action-packed opening. It was a good send-off for the big man.

Amazing episode. Will miss Tyrese.

I was unsure at the start, just a bunch of random images and stuff. But as the ep went on and the story incorporated everything that was shown. And it was really well done.
I was sure Tyreese wasn't gonna die. His fight we the second zombie after he was bitten was terrifying, the snapping and his struggle to fend him off. Also his hallucinations as a way of coming to terms with his oncoming death were brilliant. It's great having the show back. I've recently bought all the books, gonna start reading them soon, they're based on the comic version of the show. |

My one issue is that I think Tyreese should have seen Karen among his hallucinations, but perhaps Melissa Ponzio just wasn't available to film the episode?

I think it makes sense we didn't see her tbf. All the hallucinations were of people that his decisions caused a dominoe effect for the group. Telling the governor about the prison, not killing the terminus guy, the plan the save Beth that backfired. We already has the Governor mocking him for Forgiving Carol too. Anyway, it was a decent return. Next week looks like filler until they get to Alexandria AT LAST! :)

Aw Tyreese, I really liked him :( Great episode to start off with and glad it's back, nice to see some characters returning. Can't wait to see what happens next week.
|
The ep was directed by Greg Nicotero, who directed Lizzie and Mika's death ep.
He was on Talking Dead (They still had it, just aired it after the Better Call Saul Premiere) Regarding the hallucinations, he said that they were a representation of what he has done or seen. Can't remember the rest of the conversation |

When I heard before the episode that we'd see some "familiar faces", I did initially think "Morales?!".
