Boris has 3 times as many MP's backing him
Hunt can not win this

Next Tuesday Live on ITV1HD
8PM -9PM
Johnson and Hunt.

Its not enough for it to be banned arista it needs to be followed up as we all know in someparts it still goes on.

Livia 04-07-2019 11:08 AM

I wonder about politicians. I mean, surely Hunt is not so out of touch he genuinely imagines that people would want the return of hunting because it's part of our heritage? Slavery was once part of our heritage, but I don't think we should reintroduce it.

joeysteele 04-07-2019 11:09 AM

I don't get why anyone is surprised.
I'm not.
The last 2 PMs wanted to bring back foxhunting.

Had they got big majorities they more likely would have.

It's the baying element of some of really only the Conservative party who want this back.
That's why he's mentioned it, this audience he's trying to get votes from, has numbers who want it back.

No matter what, there would have been no ban on it had Labour not won in 1997.
Near all the Labour party and other Parties, hate the very idea of it.
Except for the awful Kate Hoey.

There's only one Party that ever now thinks of even holding a vote to bring it back, and that is the Conservative Party.
Even to a current leadership contender.

Why is anyone surprised at that.

You don't, joey? I'm sure you don't really believe that every Tory is a hunting fan. I've already posted a link on here for Conservatives against Hunting, Dominic Raab is one of the patrons. Most people in the Conservative Party don't want to see hunting reintroduced and for Hunt to suggest it shows how out of touch he is.

Good god these two candidates are SO out of touch with reality, pandering to 120k members...

Of course I don't.
I know lots of Conservative members and Conservative friends of mine, who detest it as much as I do.

What I'm saying is, since the ban, which never would have even happened if Labour hadn't put it forward.
There is only one party, over the last 2 elections which even thinks of holding a vote as to it.
The Conservative Party.

The vile pro foxhunting lobbyists know there's no point pushing Labour on it or other Parties.
So they push the Conservatives for it.

Hunt, even raising it has to much more than likely indicate he knows it could carry votes from, some, Conservative party members.

I agree too on Dominic Raab, he stated clearly on Peston last night, he was against foxhunting.

There is Not Enough MP's
to vote it back.
So it's a waste of time

What that says.
Is if the numbers were there, the Conservatives with a substantial overall majority would put it to a vote.

I'll keep my fingers crossed the Conservative party never has the numbers to do so.

I don't have to even consider concerning myself that any other Party would even want to think of bringing it back, never mind want to hold a vote on it.

Boris Hustings
was live on Radio 5 .

Vicky. 05-07-2019 10:28 AM

My husband says Boris is trying to woo the North East now, claiming he made 4 areas of london which were poor rich..or something like that and he wants to do the same to the north east. They always say stuff like this and then..ignore us when actually in power. Apparently hes also saying he wants fibre to be all over the UK...another thing that wont happen. Just bull****, constantly :bored:

Cherie 05-07-2019 10:29 AM

The fox hunting must be something Hunt...pun...knows will be popular with the membership :skull:
