I'm going to try and be at Lidl at 8 am to do some food shopping. Hopefully I will find something

Things are bad now. Imagine when we go on lockdown D:

LukeB 18-03-2020 02:10 PM

thankfully supermarkets have gave limits on all items so you can't buy more than 3 pastas etc. this should have been done as soon as people starting doing this. There wasn't any need to do it anyway

It's already lockdown , can't stop everything entirely otherwise we'll all be screwed.

Bin men still have to collect our rubbish , supermarkets still have to be open , and online shopping is still running.

I just hope internet doesn't cut off  .

Phones were playing up .

OK I guess officially Friday will be "lockdown" I'm guessing , but as I said we'd all be in a huge mess if everywhere was closed . people need food and their bins emptied etc .

I work in a factory that makes food. Not surprisingly, we've been really busy lately.

Yeah I can't see everything being on lockdown , if anyone working has symptoms then they'd be sent home as others carry on.

thesheriff443 18-03-2020 02:20 PM

People are morons, the shops won’t be closed because of lock down.

Was told there was a massive ques in Tesco’s again this morning and one woman demanded to see a manager after only being allowed to buy nine toilet rolls.

Yes because that is what people normally buy for flu, demand is bound to go up...

Amy Jade 18-03-2020 02:21 PM

Asda today had signs up saying 3 of any item but only 1 pack of toilet rolls per person, they were policing it too, I was getting a drink and some crisps and the lady on fast lanes was stopping a guy trying to buy loads of meat

Yes. Anyone who has a fever or cough has to stay home.

Try your local shop. They will have eggs and other things you can't find at the supermarket.

I know. Why are they buying so much fresh meat? It doesn't last very long. Better to buy some frozen stuff.

Some of the older staff may choose to self isolate.
