They can't, and they don't test every PCR-test for the variant either. It's a very involved process that takes lab time. They test a sample of positive tests in each area, get a percentage of the total, and then apply that as a proportion of the total as an estimate. It would be completely impossible to do such a detailed analysis on every positive test.

Also you're supposed to confirm your at-home LF test with a proper PCR test if it comes up positive... most people don't bother to register their LF result at all.

most people are sensible enough that if they test positive they will keep out the way of other people until they test negative again. So much of it is pure common sense.

Also on the point about how do they know what variant they have have .... they know the spread rate of delta and what the fluctuations are on a daily basis over the last few months. The infection rate rose by 20k yesterday alone, which is pretty indicative that the new variant is very much in play

No, not yet, but I can feel it creeping up on me...(maybe alf was right about the hangover)

If I dont catch it after saturday night's shenanigans, then its all a load of ****e, imo.

British woman flies to Paris after a negative test, but lands in Paris with a sore throat, she then becomes short of breath so goes to a hospital in Paris where she is diagnosed with covid...doctors give her a paracetamol and send her home...its so scary!!

my brother first noticed he had covid when he had an almighty hangover after being at the pub, he never gets hangovers normally so it was highly unusual. Sure enough he tested positive. They don't mention that in their list of symptoms

If you're told that you need a chip put in your body to make living with Covid easier, would that be going too far for you or would you happily go along with it because you've been told it's for the common good?

depends what the chip would do

for instance some women have contraceptive implant in their arm that releases progestogen into the body

The chip would have all your data on it. Medical data, financial data ect. The government would control everything. Where you could go, what you spend and where you could spend it, no more physical money, it's all electronic and controlled. If you had a fine, it would be immediately taken from you. If you didn't comply with a government order, they will immediately come for you because your chip would have your location at all times.

Basically China.

They can connect things like your oven, fridge freezer, front door. With technology so you can be on the bus yet still use them. Connecting humans with this technology is inevitably the next step.

Again
Sure in China

No more work either, it will all be AI. We'll all just get a universal credit (controlled by government) and sit around doing nothing. There would be some work, but not for most. These lockdowns we're having are the dress rehearsals.

Alf 16-12-2021 09:45 AM

First they need to get rid of the current financial system. Nobody will be able to own anything that's why they're destroying small and middle sized businesses as we speak.

Alf 16-12-2021 09:47 AM

I believe Klaus Schwab calls it "the 4th industrial revolution" or "the Great reset"

Obviously I wouldn't agree to that

AI isn't even close to being that advanced yet. If it possible that the (western) world will eventually slide towards a Universal Basic Income in place of menial/manual labour? Maybe so. But that's nothing new? We don't have cages full of dirty-faced blokes being lowered down into coal mines in their thousands every day and coming back out with COPD any more either. Is that a bad thing?

Alf 16-12-2021 09:54 AM

What if they've already injected us with their chip? And that's why they're going to such extreme and facist lengths to get everyone vaccinated?

Oh come on Alf - not nanotechnology paranoia? The chip is so small that it's invisible to the naked eye and can be injected through a tiny needle?

Alf 16-12-2021 09:57 AM

Don't worry about it, it's just a conspiracy theory until the TV tells you it's not.

user104658 16-12-2021 09:58 AM

Also most of the things you're describing above would require people to be aware that they have this chip. So at some point they're just going to shout "SURPRISE! You've been chipped!" ?

The killer virus is even smaller, it's conveniently invisible, just like climate change is.
