…and that’s applicable for all of us../…for everyone that the Royal family are ambassadors of …it’s not about whether anyone is a royalist or not or any type of tribal divisive stuff …there is no ‘attack’ so there is no defence required…it’s all just a mess and become so by a huge palace contribution …

For me, I just want to know that she is okay at a base level (i.e able to move around,) because if the pressure has taken it's toll on Kate, then that's tragic.

…I mean, up until now I would have said that it was mainly social media conspiracy stuff and not of any particular note than any other conspiracy…but now ‘Katespiracies’ could become historically referred as a key part of the here and now…

They issue a Mothers Day photo every year if they didn't the frenzy would be equal if even worse, how did people miss Louis being fingerless in the Christmas photo obviously it wasn't scrutinised to the nth degree like this one

I think its like Annie said she might be adjusting to something after the surgery, for a woman who is so scrutinised and photographed that wouldn't be easy, I honestly don't think the Palace would say she was recovering well if she wasn't, all trust would go out the window

Ammi 11-03-2024 09:39 AM

…I don’t know, was a Mother’s Day pic expected when only days before, the palace had issued the statement to say there would be no updates…I know that I didn’t expect one, in fact I would say that the pic was completely unexpected surprise in view of it immediately following on from the statement…

I hope that you're right, Cherie.

Ammi 11-03-2024 09:44 AM

…anyway, it’s all past stuff and can’t be undone…so far as any embarrassment is concerned with any of this, it’s now up to the palace to address and put right …or not and just adopt silence…but this is a tricky one to not speak out about their reasoning when they’ve added so much to an escalation…

Like many amateur photographers, I do
occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph
we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had
a very happy Mother's Day.

Princess Kate apologises over 'amateur' Mother's Day photo…

Kensington Palace has released an official statement in response to concerns over an image ofPrincess Kate and her three children,Prince George, Princess Charlotte, andPrince Louis, that was shared to mark Mother's Day on Sunday.

The statement comes after questions were raised over whether the image had been digitally altered. The photo, taken by Prince William, is the first of the princess to be released after her abdominal surgery.

In a message shared on social media on Monday morning, Princess Kate stated: "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.

"I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother's Day. C."

Royal sources said the Princess of Wales made "minor adjustments" and that Kate and Prince William wanted to offer an informal picture of the family together for Mother's Day.

"The Wales family spent Mother's Day together and had a wonderful day," the source added.

Earlier on, the PA news agency said it would be withdrawing the image from its picture service.

A spokesperson for the national news agency has since said: "Like other news agencies, PA Media issued the handout image provided by Kensington Palace of the Princess of Wales and her children in good faith yesterday.

We became aware of concerns about the image and we carried a report about it last night, and made clear that we were seeking urgent clarification about the image from Kensington Palace. In the absence of that clarification, we are killing the image from our picture service."

The photograph in question showed Kate sitting on a chair, surrounded by her three children. The princess had her arms around Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, who are on either side of her, while Prince George, ten, is standing behind with his arms hugging her neck.

The mum-of-three captioned the post: "Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day. C."

Royal fans had questioned whether the image had been photoshopped after claiming that the sleeve of Princess Charlotte's cardigan did not line up.

Later that day, the photo was withdrawn by international picture agencies over concerns that the image had been manipulated.

The photo marked the first image released of Kate since her planned operation at the London Clinic on January 16. She was released two weeks later and returned to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.

The mum-of-three is not expected to return to royal duties until after Easter.

I think that it's the case as well, Liam.

I really do hope that I'm wrong on my gut feeling, but like with Blues likely to be relegated to League One next season, I unfortunately think that there is something wrong with Kate.

She has dealt with the Trolls beautifully

As one expected

Yeah so now we're hearing Kate Photoshopped the photo.

For what reason? Why alter a hand or a heel on a shoe?

Bizarre. A load of lies going on.

I don't even believe Kate even made that statement today.

To me the number of edits strongly indicates that the kids have been photoshopped into an older (pre-surgery) picture of Kate. WHy would they do that instead of just using an old photo? Well, for the obvious reason that people would pick up on it very quickly if the kids looked younger, and if it was just Kate on her own, people would still say it's an old photo. So it had to be a current photo of the kids alongside a healthy-looking Kate. Which they don't have and can't get.

Do I think that's because they've done away with her or any particularly grand conspiracy? No, I just think she's more unwell than they want to say - and the ABSOLUTE IRONY that would come with having to demand privacy and that the press don't badger them, given how the man has treated his brother for wanting the same. Never complain, never explain right Wills. Until it's your own wife who is ill. Then - lo and behold - the "Precious Royal Etiquette" becomes a bit less important. Who would have thought?

I'm not judging them - if I am it's positively. He should be ready to burn the entire monarchy to the ground for his wife and children if necessary, and I'd think 10x more of him if he did.

Anyway. I do also think this has to be considered in the context of how awful he looked in that recent video being sworn in. That was not a man worried for his 75 year old dad and overwhelmed at the responsibility (that he's been groomed for his entire life). To me, that was a man reeling because his own immediate life is in turmoil. At the time I was inclined to believe that the rumours of a rift/infidelity and impending divorce were the cause. Now I'm wondering if it's simply that Kate is quite unwell.

To go a bit more down the Zizu rabbit hole and speculate - perhaps it is because of an eating disorder. Which would explain why they don't want it being publicly available info. A tragic thing for anyone to go through but also it would be an absolute PR disaster for the Royals for Kate to be struggling with mental health issues. It's distinctly against the New Young Wives rearing handbook.

 things like the AP and Reuters aren't tabloids Kazanne. Talking about them "losing out on a scoop" is ludicrous.

The sheer contempt this press office has for the public is absolutely wild.
