In theory, the whole of (say) California and New York state could vote Dem --every single eligible voter -- seeing Dems win the popular vote by a huge margin, and it would make no difference at all to the overall result. Of course similar things happen here but I don't think it's as dramatic as the US. (Comparatively) tiny states can change the outcome for the entire country. It's mad. |

Harris is actually changing some traditional red states blue, thats what i mean by a landslide. Florida is now a genuine dem target and a few others are shaping up similarly. If Harris wins a significant number of red states, it will be a landslide |
Biden called him Donald Dump.:joker:

I bought the Daily Star for my train ride this morning (just for the crossword to pass the time) I saw this story and on the same page it had an headline that "Kamala takes a clear lead" It's the final days of the first information war, and now it's time to get dirty. |

there is only one type of species among the Trumpies, common facts since we all know what his views are on the us economy, and no that wall ain't coming haha, i mean mexicans are only good for the elite to do their yards, clean their homes, make their beds etc, cheap personnel for their chores, trump is a businessman too, he won't make those elite work themselves ;) |
same with that JD Vance clown, where he is running for vice president, other men his age are fighting their ass off in those wars in the middle east
there have been way better running mate candidates in the past than this kid, real people's champions like John Kerry, Al Gore |

I never liked Pence, but I'm more OK with JD Vance. He reminds me a bit of Dan Crenshaw. I don't agree with him on everything, but he can stand up to the brass in his own party, which is always needed....
I was in his district and voted for him in the primaries (which he obviously won) until they moved the map around (which always looked silly). |

Little known fact maybe, but the BBC used to carry a certain air among Americans for having "authentic" (ie untouched) content compared to typical TV. Especially for news, but then there was also the shows. Just because so much of television here is watered down to its most commercial aspect. We could follow a whole series on our public channels and not be attacked constantly by ads. It was nice. Anyway, if someone wants to watch something political in its entirety, that's what C-SPAN and the internet is meant for. For people who can stand to listen to these for hours on end. I don't care which candidate holds the "best parties", it's a matter of whether at this point they're even remotely capable of doing the job... which is seemingly fewer than expected. |
Don’t most venues look like this before a show begins.

Yes not good.

He's definitely looking and sounding tired. He could outpace Biden but he's very much struggling to keep up with a younger/more energetic campaign.
For the same reason that Biden was an inappropriate candidate let's face it. He is an elderly man |
I also think he might be suffering from PTSD. The problem is that most people who have been through a traumatic event don't have it available on instant replay and he apparently sits and replays the video constantly

And even for Trump, some serious anxiety about public speaking wouldn't be unusual after getting clipped by a bullet within the last few months, it's so recent that you wouldn't even consider it PTSD. Just straight up normal situational anxiety, given the circumstances. |
