Yay!

Just pm Nicky to sort you one.

Strictly Jake 09-05-2025 03:17 PM

I don't know what to do cos some people really want eurovision week and some people really don't. It feels like good timing to do one in week 3 with the eurovision final next weekend. To make it easier should I just say the acts that have represented the UK or does that make it harder?

Shhh. Potato week is coming up. Let me have my week.

Strictly Jake 09-05-2025 03:17 PM

Personally I'm looking forward to 1960s week the week after, it's a fantastic decade, the hippies and the mods etc

I say yes to all Eurovision. There’s soooo many types of songs to use so it’s a fairly easy round tbf.

(I sat this now lol)

Clearly makes it way harder by cutting the picking pool lol

No leave it as you originally had it. I'm OK really with doing Eurovision. There's tons of choice.

Yeah but every round does that. Duets really sliced down the options, and for some dances really would have been a struggle. :p

Edit, just read what it was in response to.

No pls don’t just do UK acts one because it’s harder and two because most are absolute dog shite.

Strictly Jake 09-05-2025 03:31 PM

OK it won't be just uk acts then

Up first is Niamh doing a Jive to Englbert Humperdinck followed by Maru doing a salsa to Bonnie Tyler.

Would be terrible round :joker:

Vanessa 09-05-2025 04:13 PM

Probably for the best. Love the UK, but they aren't the best on Eurovision

*GASP* You take that back!

Actually, thinking about it... we do have a talent for getting it waaaay off the mark LOL

I don't mind what the rounds are, they all bring their own unique challenges. I'll take what comes.

Our list from the mid 90’s onward is poor. :joker:

Vanessa 09-05-2025 04:47 PM

Not that Italy is much better. We're a bit hit and miss  Sweden entries are always fabulous.

Gina G was the best Eurovision win we never had, I reckon. It kind of died after that. Sam Ryder was good, I kind of liked the song Blue did, but apart from that, we might as well have stayed at home. I have no idea what horror awaits us this year...

It’s no Gina G, but it’s probably one of the better offerings we’ve had.

Well, it's aptly named. I watched it, I was like... what the hell just happened?

Doesn't get a beat till halfway through, a bunch of interchangeable pop tarts doing selfie-gurning at the camera... I might have a tenner on it getting no points at all.

Seriously, who picks this stuff? From the country that gave the world the Stones, the Floyd, Black Sabbath, Bowie, Cool Britannia, the list is endless... I mean, wtaf...?
