that's mad lol

Gstar 10-07-2016 04:45 PM

That's great. It looks like people are gonna be interested in the annihilation week

Will. 10-07-2016 05:01 PM

Wow :shocked::shocked::shocked:

That's amazing for a Saturday.

reece(: 10-07-2016 07:53 PM

Good ratings yet it's ending in two weeks

*mazedsalv** 11-07-2016 12:52 PM

Up against the Euro final (which peaked at 16m), BB got 900k excl +1, so that looks like 1m+ including which surprises me a lot! That's decent. LI got 860k incl +1.

Now, officials (in brackets are the overnights)

Monday- 1.45m (920k)
Tuesday- 1.55m (1.10m)
Weds- 1.77m (1.31m)
Thurs- 1.55m (1.10m)
Friday- 1.34m (820k)
Saturday- 1.39m (742k)
Sunday- 1.47m (950k)

Week average- 1.50m

Official average so far- 1.55m

The week was really bad in terms of overnights bar Weds, but officials got them increased quite a lot! So a lot of sub 1m in overnights but still a 1.5m official for the week sounds good.

TomC 11-07-2016 12:55 PM

Hopefully it can stay rounded up to 1.6.

Hopefully as that would keep it with 12,13 and 15. BB15s was 1.55m exactly.

Hoping as the last week has been slightly up and around 1.1-1.2m it will mean a week average of around 1.6m.

TomC 11-07-2016 01:00 PM

Annihilation week should fare well too.

Well people online seem to be really disgusted with the fact we have no control and the fact we are not getting ANY updates on ANYTHING throught the day.

I'm not sure it will fare well, especially if the bigger characters go, as much as some people don't like the likes of Hughie, Jayne, Jason and Andy, them going will be awful, especially if we are left with Alex, Sam, Ryan, Lateysha etc...

Jay_Roberts441 11-07-2016 02:23 PM

Once again to compare Big Brother and Love Island's official ratings:

(Love Island rating is in brackets with the winner bolded)

Monday- 1.45m (1.66m)
Tuesday- 1.55m (1.66m)
Weds- 1.77m (1.54m)
Thurs- 1.55m (1.66m)
Friday- 1.34m (1.63m)
Saturday- 1.39m (N/A)
Sunday- 1.47m (1.60m)

Result: Love Island beats Big Brother every night except on Wednesday plus there is no Love Island episode on a Saturday.

Rob! 11-07-2016 02:29 PM

Ignoring Love Island, wow at that 1.77.

Jake. 12-07-2016 09:12 AM

C5 (exc. +1)
Big Brother: 1.08m (5.2%

Rob! 12-07-2016 09:23 AM

Love island final 1.2m excl +1. Channel 5 will be delighted it's out the way now.

*mazedsalv** 12-07-2016 09:29 AM

Big Brother: 1.2m

A climb for BB even against LI which got 1.34m with +1. It will be at around 1.3m tonight i reckon, but will drop and struggle if we lose faves.... i HATE this week.

I can really see myself not watching after this week if my favourites all go. Such a STUPID twist.

TomC 12-07-2016 09:39 AM

It's just incredible how C5 somehow manage to **** up three series in a row?

Yep. It's horrific. I knew your no fan of Hughie, but I think it's a shambles that he's likely to have been gone already.

Whoever goes this way, it's wrong. I honestly don't know what C5 were thinking, they must have been on crystal meth when they thought this up.

Cal. 12-07-2016 10:02 AM

I don't really think they've ****ed this series up. It's a good series and it's better shorter than too long.

I feel BB17 peaked way too soon imo. I loved the first 2-3 weeks, but after Natalie went I noticed a drop in quality and I'm not sure if it's because Natalie leaving or just the series in general hasn't been as good ever since.

I think maybe the two houses thing was actually good in hindsight and they should've kept it for the rest of the series? idk.

Or it's probably just my dying interest in BB in general that's making me view this series less favourably.

TomC 12-07-2016 11:51 AM

I don't think it's been bad since Natalie went, in fact I think it's been pretty good.

This week is just such a blight on what was a fantastic series. I don't even care if it was shortened to 7 weeks, but there were so many better ways to thin the numbers.

I'm still hoping will get to vote an annihilated HM back in on Friday.

*mazedsalv** 13-07-2016 08:58 AM

C5 (exc. +1)
Big Brother: Annihilation: 1.24m (6.5%)

That's the highest excl +1 since the first highlight show. That could be around 1.4m incl +1. Love Island being gone seems to have helped BB a lot.

Since Friday it's done pretty well:

Saturday- 1.12m *highest in 3 years
Sunday- ~1m *against Euro Final
Monday- 1.2m
Tuesday- ~1.3-1.4m

Samm 13-07-2016 09:01 AM

..and its ending in less then two weeks

armand.kay 13-07-2016 09:20 AM

Lol why are they ending it so early.

Jake. 13-07-2016 09:50 AM

Good stuff

Cal. 13-07-2016 10:36 AM

It's annoying cos CBB18 will cost them more money and will only be getting 1.7/1.8 a night.

*mazedsalv** 13-07-2016 12:31 PM

Big Brother: 1.4m (7.2%) including +1

Marco's eviction got 1.35m so I'm guessing it beat that. Highest since the first HL show.

That 1.4m is higher than most episodes of BB12, the 2nd half of BB13, BB15 and BB16. 1.4m was the average for BB14.

Samm 13-07-2016 12:42 PM

Ironic that the ratings are at a peak when they're ending it soon

Last night was the first time that it didn't face LI or a Euro match in the 9pm slot. May be why.

Which is why they were stupid to shorten the series. I knew ratings would be up when those 2 shows ended.

Will. 14-07-2016 09:06 AM

1.3M excluding +1.

*mazedsalv** 14-07-2016 09:09 AM

C5 (exc. +1)
Big Brother: Annihilation: 1.28m (7.6%)

That's great for 10pm slot, it will surely be around 1.4m incl +1 (for 2nd time a in a row) and well over a 8% share which will be good. Excl +1 wise it was 40k up on the night before. But thing is +1 doesn't tend to add a lot at 11pm, but there was a lot of hype that maybe it got well over 100k on +1.

crazycolaist 14-07-2016 02:20 PM

Hopefully Viacom will look at why LI suceeded and won the ratings war.

MB. 14-07-2016 02:22 PM

It didn't, though

well it kind of did. Love island beat big brother most times..

Samm 14-07-2016 02:28 PM

I think it only beat BB in the ratings around five times, they shouldn't look to LI because it's even worse then BB it's only successful because it's a fresh new show

MB. 14-07-2016 02:30 PM

It beat BB on the odd occasion but BB is still well ahead in the averages

It didn't do well in ratings last year after they brought it back but it's successful because it was an amazing season this year and itv promoted the show.

Cal. 14-07-2016 02:43 PM

LI was hardly amazing television it was just something to watch. BB17 has been better to watch.

probably last years but the show is well produced and this season has been amazing imo and it's been praised by the public as well hence why the ratings went up by loads that they hit 1 million(they didn't even reach that last year). BB17 has been good too reason why it's beating last years season in ratings.

Jack_ 14-07-2016 03:04 PM

Love Island produced a great series last year that was far better than BB16 and this year's was even better and they went all out on the promotion - the only reason it's on par with BB17 in terms of quality is because Big Brother's been good this year too.

But Love Island does Big Brother better than Big Brother does Big Brother

Will. 14-07-2016 03:08 PM

How did LI beat it in the ratings war.

LI beat BB like 5 times.

whilst BB beat it 30 times.
