I love it and would hate for it to be suspended, but the message has been poor for months, hugging, spitting, shirt swapping and the staff mixing at the end of the game ...it’s ridiculous that it’s allowed

but suppose same time i hated the leagues getting called early last year, really have a disliking to teams getting called champions without a campaign being fully completed, i know their is a good chance of it happening this season as well in many leagues, if Rangers got handled the title before the season end i'd be a bit mixed about it tbf obviously i'd be happy we won it but its such a massive season in scotland for it to end that way would be an anticlimax, i know it happened with celtic last year as well but it doesn't feel right at all, especially when the prem and other leagues were allowed to carry on after a break and broadcasters were creaming over it

They will earn megabucks sat at home for three months ..

Doesn’t look as though there are too many staying at home tbh

Current footfall is DOUBLE what it was in the first lockdown

aye exactly, the fixture pile up is a joke right now, can't take the fa cup seriously when you have 17 year olds playing when the first team are out through covid outbreaks

i saw a tv interview with an aston villa player and i genuinely thought it was a school boy

:umm2: how amateurish does this make the premier league look lol

also it shows that the youth players are very much weak and english teams relying heavily on buying players, also not a good look for this competition lol

yeah so

at least they didn't asked to postpone (unlike City whom literally had no valid reason to postpone, since a team like City can still make up a decent team out of reserves, while Villa had to improvise)

also nice we had debut of Winston Bogarde's son

Just pointing out that they were basically kids ... most were dropped off at the ground by their parents !!

Now they gave a strong Liverpool a hell of a game for 60 minutes and they only collapsed through sheer exhaustion and cramps ..

Lol at New Castle.

A red card, an injury and a loss to the weakest team in the premier league in the same day.

If it was a home game, it would be almost perfect 1 game day disaster.

Guess Steve Bruce is under a bit of pressure after the last two results especially

Unbelievable result.

I never saw a Sheffield United win, they haven't beaten any team this season until Newcastle tonight.

AnnieK 12-01-2021 08:15 PM

Sheffield deserved it...

This utd Burnley game is boring

Pogba has been really good recently for them, thought he had a great game again

Newcastle the sort of team who might get dragged into the relegation fight but tbf the bottom 4 atm (minus the one from shef utd tonight against newcastle) can't buy a win. 1 win in 20 games for them combined so the likes of bruce are lucky its such a poor relegation fight this season

Zizu 16-01-2021 11:49 AM

That looked like a certain penalty when Gibbs handled in his own box..
VAR didn’t even check even though the Wolves players all claimed ..

The ball was bouncing around close to goal line in a crowded box and he cushioned it for the keeper to claim .

We see some crazy penalties given these days but not ones like this ?!?

Great win, should have scored a few. Games like that show how much we've improved imo, last few seasons there'd be nothing in it between us and Burnley and it'd be a pretty awful game but today we actually outplayed them and looked a much better footballing side. Defence is looking really solid now and so much flair going forward with Benrhama and Bowen

Just hope Antonio can stay fit now

MTVN 16-01-2021 04:17 PM

Just 1 point behind 'genuine title contenders' Spurs

Bowen looks a real talented player whenever I see him play

4 clean sheets in a row

He's brilliant, just need to work on being a bit more clinical in front of goal and finding that final pass rather than going it alone so much

Shaun 16-01-2021 05:53 PM

Fulham seem to have made a marked improvement since the first 10 games. Might still go down but they're clinging their way to draws against good teams

Novo 16-01-2021 06:06 PM

really don't rate Lampard as a manager, hardly lit it up at Derby before he went to Chelsea and finishing top of the average CL group they had has blemished over the cracks, this team should be doing a lot better

MTVN 16-01-2021 06:09 PM

Spent over 150 million on Ziyech, Havertz and Werner and he's managed to turn them all into Championship players

Crimson Dynamo 16-01-2021 06:11 PM

:laugh2:

Novo 16-01-2021 06:12 PM

don't even know why they brought Havertz he doesn't even fit into their style at all

Alf 16-01-2021 07:34 PM

Look at West Ham, only 4 points of second place.

Good manager that Moysey, isn't he?

Do you Hammers dare to dream?

I was surprised to know that an iconic, well supported club like West Ham United have never been league champions. The highest they've finished is 3rd (once in the mid 1980s)

Their supporters deserve better, there isn't too many better sights in football than seeing those Hammers fans in full voice singing "I'm forever blowing bubbles"

True enough .. plus the bubbles of course .

Still think Liverpool’s anthem wins hands down though

Who’s the most talented West Ham player you’ve seen ?

De Canio , Joe Cole ... ?

The likes of Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Trevor Brooking were before my time, but they had a good player called Alan Devonshire in the 80s (LT will back me up on that)

But yeah, the likes of Lampard, Cole and Ferdinand's careers where more defined at other clubs so Di Canio is maybe right.

I thought Carlos Tevez was a great player, but he was only there for a short while.

Di Canio our best player in my lifetime for sure. Since him I really think only Tevez and Payet have come close to producing that level of ability and excitement but both were only one season wonders for us

After last season I think realistically top half would be a good result, be absolutely delighted if we could be in the mix for Europe

Calderyon 17-01-2021 05:24 PM

Liverpool vs Manchester United ends at 0-0.
