127 Hours. For having hardly any cast and being filmed mainly in one location, this is a tremendous film! 8/10

Niamh. 12-11-2012 09:59 AM

Into the Wild - 9/10 amazing film. Eddie Vedder did the soundtrack too which was an added bonus

Sarah. 12-11-2012 06:12 PM

The Cable Guy.
I love Jim Carrey.

:amazed:

I decided to order it and also It's A Wonderful Life after we were talking about movies last week. It's a Wonderful Life hasn't arrived yet though, I think I might save it for Christmas Day

Lee. 12-11-2012 06:31 PM

I watch It's a Wonderful Life whilst wrapping pressies and drinking Baileys on Xmas eve.. its tradition!

Ammi 12-11-2012 06:32 PM

..yeah it's definately a Christmas Eve or Christmas Day movie...we usually watch Polar Express every Christmas Eve but I might suggest we watch It's a Wonderful Life instead.....

...I'm sure the boys can stand it, I've made them watch Breakfast at Tiffanys before...several times...

Watching the Ellie Nesler story. True story of a mum that made national headlines when she walked into a court room during a trial and shot the man that molested her 6 yr old 5 times in the head. She served 3 years of a 10 year sentence but returned later for 3 more years for drug charged. The sadder thing is her son never recovered from the tragedy. He was in and out of prison a lot, and right now I believe he's still a fugitive after stomping a man to death. Sad.
Oh yeah and the mum died of cancer in 2008. :(
These people were on Oprah.

Green Lantern - 3/10. Enjoyable enough but a bit crap. Ryan Reynolds is a really weird choice for a superhero aswell.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - 8.5/10. Really different to what I was expecting, didn't expect it to be anywhere near as dark as it was. Can't wait years for the sequel so will just have to watch the foreign versions in the meantime.

Targets - 6/10. A good film let down by a stupid ending. All the shooting scenes were brilliant though.

The Dark Knight Rises - 9/10. Pretty much the perfect ending, and Bane came close to topping The Joker as the best villain of the three films. A shame that this is the end of these versions as the inevitable reboot in 10 years time won't be anywhere near as good.

Layer Cake - Not seen it for a few years, it's a bit better than I remember but not much. 7/10

It was good, but it felt like it was lacking in something, there were a couple of hot scenes so I guess that made up for whatever was missing.

It was very entertaining, a great finale to the saga.
