It’s still unclear whether Perez was just speculating about a release date or if he had been specifically told that the album wouldn’t be due until next year. If that’s true, then Britney could very well go up against Lady GaGa, who also recently announced that her next album wouldn’t come out until 2011.

Hopefully Piggy Perez was simply mistaken and we’ll get that new record in the fourth quarter, just as her last seven albums/compilations have been.

Why would have Perez heard a few songs before anyone else though? The whole story doesn't add up for me, I know he's a minor celebrity now but I doubt Britney's management would just hand him a mixtape of a few new songs.

July 2009. She went to a Jazz Club with Lindsay while on a break from the Circus tour, I remember that well.

Aww that's nice to see that Brit is still a Madonna fan though although I was hoping it was a new album.

The Recording Industry Association of America has announced that Spears has officially sold over 100 million records, making her the best selling artist of the 2000’s, according to Hollyscoop. In addition, she is the fifth overall artist to join the charts of Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey who have also sold over 100 million albums.

Spears sold more than 28 million copies of her debut album, “Baby One More Time,” and has sold over 20 million copies with her second album, “Oops!… I Did It Again.”

Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins said on Ustream that, "Britney fans are gonna be so happy in a few weeks."

Well theres a rumour her new song is called It's a secret, although I'm not too sure, I think it's just to build up a hype, apparently it's a duet with snoop dog, although I've heard all sorts so far

Britney IS coming up with new music and she does have a new single hitting airwaves before the end of August. The song, produced by Pharrell Williams, is said to be ready. According to the first reports I got, the song was called My Big Secret (it was also added to BMI). It's just a few hours ago that it was confirmed that My Big Secret was actually a song recorded back in 2001 which means it has actually nothing to do with the new single or album... But, the new single IS produced by Pharell and this is what Darkchild was referring to when they said something was coming up for Britney fans.
