Wild generalisations R Us.

And Pakistan... an "Arab" country?
I have travelled to Pakistan and some Arab countries (and I'm Irish) and I have noticed this many times. It does not mean that these people are bad people but just in their nature to talk loudly (or their voices raised more than westerners - doesn't mean they are arguing). It is not a critism of either nations. Just an observation on my part. You will find that if Hira talks loudly then it is likely that all her family talk loudly.
I've travelled quite a bit myself and my own findings are that people are much the same wherever you go, only the skin colours change... My main point is that Pakistan isn't an Arab country.
OK I get your point but I never said that Pakistan is an Arab country. I said that in Pakistan (even India) and IN Arab countries people tend to spek (or talk) loudly as is the norm.

we're not saying she's a bad person we're saying she's boring.
this is a tv progamme to entertain us.
so far she's had four highlight shows and five late night live feeds and she hasnt done anything remotely interesting, i have never seen her once in the last five late night feeds,
i've heard her speak three times on higlight shows
once, for the task
once , to tell lisa how great she is
and once tonight
adding up to not even two minutes air time.

Uppercase title was my attempt at mimicking Hira's speaking style, but I see the Mods have changed it to lowercase.

PS: In addition, to being loud, and perhaps monotone, I think her voice sounds a bit American as well.

Yeah, I get your point too. But I don't agree... I find many Asian women, for instance, incredibly softly spoken and some British women to be incredibly loud. We can agree to differ :-)

Thanks ViaVerde - we should agree to disagree. I will add that I have also heard Indian people (as an Irishman I actually speak Punjabi fluently) speak sofly and others loudly. I guess you could say the same for British people, especially those living in rough council estates.

A lot of women are like that, its because the vocal chords in the throat produce the sound then send it to the mouth, however it gets diverted to the cavity in the skull where in a male the brain would reside, its like a sound ampilifer in there, the noise rattles around then the woman opens her mouth and the amplified sound is emitted,

And thats a proven scientific fact:wink:
