A lot hinges on whether Tom gets drawn into Noirin's web as well, if he rejects her it will do him a lot of favours, but even then I don't think he has enough support to win the whole thing. A latecomer has never won it yet and I don't think he will either.

and if he doesn't go near noirin, he's got one hell of a chance over freddie.
if he doesn't win, i think he's nailed a place in the final anyway

I still think Freddie's support group will far outweigh Tom's, even towards the end, no matter what he does.
I do definitely think Tom could make it to the final though, I could see him finishing 4th or something.
He really needs to reject Noirin and show her up for what she is to everyone who hasn't already realised it. |
