Marcus.
He may be deluded, but at leat he's genuine. He is really & truely mad about Noirin and is confined to a tiny house where he sees her every day. Additionally, very few of the others hold any interest for him conversationwise.
The problem with Noirin is that she is very aware of the reaction she gets from men and consciously and deliberately uses this for her own advantage. This is not just a young confident independent woman as some suggest, this is a calculating young woman who wants it's both ways. She wants the guys to fancy her (for her own self-esteem & to have them on her side) and sets about cosying up to them. But she refuses to take any of the blame for the consequences of this when they respond & fall for her. She flirted with an absolute innocent in Sree and even when he said he loved her she couldn't put him straight as she loved the attention, then drew in Marcus (absolutely deliberately) to try & get Sree away from her and then used Siavash to do the same with Marcus. The only difference with Tom is that she is turning to him much quicker over Siavash because now that she kissed him, she can't claim that she was never interested, unlike the others.
To those of you who disagree over Noirin, would you strip topless & let a man, who you know is crazy about you, paint your naked back for hours, or sit on his lap with your arm around him for a can of cheap larger or spend all your time with him, if you were trying not to give him the wrong idea? What would you expect would happen, whether it was right or wrong? I don't think people should come into my house and rob me, but I know this kind of thing can happen despite my wishes - that why I lock my doors & windows, to do all I can to prevent it. Noirin left her front door wide open for Marcus, metaphorically.
Yes Marcus is besotted and followed her around like a little puppy, but he has received plenty of encouragement and many mixed-signals. Everyone does some silly things when they have big crushes - in the Big Brother house there is nowehere to get away from how you feel and it magnifies it all.
The one thing Marcus, Noirin, me & probably you, will all agree on is that "you can't help who have fancy" I'll add to that - you can't just turn it off, even when you are told it won't work out. You just hope for some glimmer of a chance over time until eventually it fades away. Not so easy when the object of your affection sleep a few feet away every night.
