Waste of money.

Even though it will be good at the time. It's just not worth it in the long run.

I think not,
Once in a lifetime opportunity.

Yeah.. that's the way I look at it. I've always wanted to go to the Olymics (oh and my cuz is swimming in them) so this seems like a good an opportunity as any!

Wow, your cousin must be pretty good to have got into the Olympic team! Will you be trying to get tickets to watch his event?

It's definitely an historic occasion - we're not likely to host the Olympics again in my lifetime anyway.

ILoveTRW 28-05-2011 04:47 PM

Marc 14-07-2011 06:37 PM

To be fair we were just being greedy to want to host 2 major sports events in the space of 6 years in one decade. The Olymics is more then enough. It is not like the UK needs anymore publicity.

I was never a fan of football I found it dull and boring. I once descibed it as 'People kicking a ball round a pitch'.

And that is interesting to watch? No.

ILoveTRW 27-07-2011 09:59 AM

1 year to go
exciting times

IheartBB 15-08-2011 07:49 PM

I didn't get tickets either. I applied for sooo many events that I actually got a little worried that it would cost a fortune if I get a few of them, but as it turns out I got nothing. Booo

The World Championships start tomorrow live on Channel 4 from 10.30 til about 3.00 we have 69 Athletics competing in it only Germany and USA have more

Iceman 27-08-2011 01:11 AM

Might give that a watch, my Niece is aiming to start competing in European championships in the next few years, she's quite good, has like 100+ medals from 3 years racing.

Patrick 27-08-2011 01:17 AM

What a load of bollocks.

As if the World Cup wasn't bad enough last Summer, 2012 will be spoilt by the English priding themselves in how amazing it is their country has been picked to host such a dull event.

Iceman 27-08-2011 01:19 AM

Its not about the country, its about one of the biggest sporting events in the world taking place right at your doorstep. Ireland will even recieve an economic boost from this. People getting cheap flights to and from here to England to save money.

Novo 27-08-2011 01:34 AM

No better place to stage the Olympics lets be honest London is the Capital of the World it's almost a perfect fit we have prepared better then anyone in recent years for it and we at the moment probably have the best all round Athletics arguably with America

Iceman 27-08-2011 01:21 PM

Bolt just eased in.... crazy how he's saying he isnt fit

Thats debatable after what just went on in London but hopefully people will have forgotten that by next year

Iceman 27-08-2011 01:23 PM

He's saying his starts will always be better now

Novo 27-08-2011 01:25 PM

Christine Ohuruogu earlier on.. i can't believe she went of to fast there was an outside chance of her winning as well

Iceman 27-08-2011 01:26 PM

I missed what happened?

Novo 27-08-2011 01:26 PM

And i hope Bolt gets beat but can't see it happening after that performance good race by Chambers as well
