In very much extreme circumstances it is common, but those extreme circumstances are rare...

that being said, I wouldn't place somebody with extreme circumstances in a situations like the BB house. I find it odd that his parents state all this then allow their own flesh and blood to continue with it.

Odd.

Actually MassiveTruck, if you look at the piece Freddie's dad wrote then you'll see in the first paragraph that he was totally against the idea...

I also messaged Ravi and he told me that Freddie is a maximum grade dyslexic :)

Funny to read this, when he lost if after the conversation with Bea regarding Marcus in the bathroom, in yesterday's show, I thought it was clear sign of dyslexia - without vocalising it was the thought that went through my head. He really got confused and distraught with the disagreement.

Oh so true, so true. BB was made with children in mind, and the majority of the nasty posts are made by kids. Not all but a great deal.

let me paraphrase something my eldest sister told me, unfortunately she is only the headmistress of a school that deals solely with children with special educational needs, not the best friend cum spin doctor of a contestant on a game show.

A person with what is commonly called dyslexia has problems understanding words and numbers, as much as 20% of the population suffer some degree of it. The symptoms that Ravi says are due to his dyslexia are not due to dyslexia at all, they may be down to some other related or even independant condition. But they are not Dyslexia. perhaps something in the autism spectrum. Thats not to say Freddie doesnt have dyslexia, just Ravi is speaking rubbish.

Incidentally she would be interested in knowing what Ravi meant by "maximum grade dyslexic"
