Noone said that though, this is about how he reckons the fact that he is on BB has made his mum better...which is just bull really...

"She's not actually in a coma. She's conscious and aware of what's around her she's just unresponsive to stimuli. "

I Know nothing of the circumstances of any of it.
What happened to his Mum to cause it?

zukhov 18-08-2009 01:55 AM

Sad that his mother is in a coma of course and he has every right to be upset.

However, Charlie was saying that because he is in the final weeks of BB she is getting better, which obviously implies that if he wins it will be a miracle cure.

Using your mothers condition in that manner is a cynical and manipulative move and cannot possibly be seen as anything else. what other reason woul dhe have for linking his mothers illness with Big Brother?

sl3ptsolong 18-08-2009 03:11 AM

NOBODY and I mean NOBODY would use the fact their mother's in a coma to gain sympathy or use it as a gameplan. Its sick! To even think it makes you sick! Charlie is a cool lad he gets on with everyone there is no underlying gameplan with that guy. Some people really take the buscuit they really do. Grow up people and show a little bit of respect.

Its disgusting, but Charlie uses it all the time, its his 'story'. He clearly linked his mothers illness with how well he is doing on BB.

Most people would say 'I'm so happy my mums getting better.'

Charlie said ' My mums getting better because she knows how much it means for me to be on BB, its my dream.' That **** is straight out of X factor.

People do it all the time on reality shows!

The X-Factor is a prime example (and Charlie has made no secret that he's a huge fan of the show).
Every year you get more people who's partners/spouses have died of an awful disease or who have lost children in terrible circumstances.
I feel for anyone who's had to go through anything like that but it also makes me extremely angry when they bring it up on a reality show knowing that it will gain them sympathy.

Things like that should be kept private and only shared with close friends and family.
Within days of Isaac being in the house Charlie was telling him all about it knowing full well that Noirin would probably be leaving that Friday so she could tell everyone what a 'genuine' lad he was and that he had more of a reason to want to win than the others.

It's shameful that he's doing it,really!

atieah2009 18-08-2009 06:04 AM

charlie wont make it in to the top 4.

delta 18-08-2009 06:29 AM

FFS- if you wouldn't use it, don't even mention it.

The guy has mapped his stay in the BB house way before he went in, everything he does is orchestrated.

Why do you think Isaac left? I tell you why- Charlie saw him as an instant threat to the 100k and so poured out the sympathy speel.

On leaving, Isaac said that after talking with Charlie, he had no business being in there and that after what he had heard, he knew that he needed it a whole lot more than he did.

If your Mother was terminally ill would you go on national TV whoring yourself, or would you be at her bedside every day?

He fake from his Geordie forehead, down to he Geordie 'plates'

His ad-lib lines are well rehearsed.

rediscool 18-08-2009 07:11 AM

What a HORRIBLE thing to say!

I'm not a Charlie fan particularly but I don't think for a second that he's a scheming, fake person or that he's manipulating and "emotionally blackmailing" the audience. There's no way he even thinks that way and who would use their mother's illness for sympathy in the first place?! What a load of rubbish !I'm glad his mom's getting better, good for them.

Some people really need to channel their hate in other ways, this is so negative...

She had a brain aneurysm while out shopping one day.

She's not terminally ill. The worst case scenario mentioned by her mother is that it'll take her 5 years to recover.

I think that was the first time it was mentioned about his mother on the HL as well wasn't it? Charlies tears won't get him any sympathy, Bea made sure of that by taking over the whole night. He must know deep in his mind that the way he has acted does not deem him a winner.

karezza 18-08-2009 11:37 AM

Me Mam, me Mam, me Mam, me Mam, me Mam, me Mam, me Mam, me Mam, me Mam, me Mam, me Mam.

I also wish his mother well, but, and please don`t take this the wrong way, she`s in a coma she wouldn`t know he was in there or how he was doing.
Charlie's mum is NOT in a coma. She is "in a nursing home AFTER being in coma" which she WAS in for six months.
