[rquote=2509329&tid=144970&author=Twiggy]He sat in a corner doing nothing most of the day and the little bits you saw him do on the highlights shows for a minute or two, was probably all he did all day. In my opinion he was boring!
I'm getting a bit sick now of people coming on here complaining that the show is boring since he has left. It was a brilliant show tonight and as always when one of the bigged up characters leave the house the show goes on and others come into their own when they stop focusing on the same old people all the time. [/rquote] finally somebody speaks sense!!!!!!:cheer2: . how could it possible be borring without marcus when all he did was sit in a corner and swear

Wow you are thick. You really have no idea at all do you?
- BB generates MASSIVE cash. Massive. It is practically a significant UK 'industry' on its own. Huge. There is a helluva lot of GDP getting racked up with all those Lucozade sales.
and,
Lisa (who is currently employed and probably making more than you and paying more taxes on that than you) also makes up 1/20th of Big Brothers players. That IS who you tune in to watch/hate/boo,
and,
In the event she is nominate is who generates mass cash in voting (again more economic stimulus),
so,
make NO mistake about it - hate any BB contestant all you want but their job drums up massive cash for the economy.

I'd leave this to some maths wizards in here but Lisa (and any finalists) actually fill larger jobs if you figure it out by days spent on the job.
(in other words, Saffia's job generating lets say 1/200th and Lisa was 1/10th of the program overall),
A maths person can do that exact figures though.

Lisa's current job generates MASSIVE tax cash. Massive.

J-Rock 01-09-2009 12:41 AM

Well, Marcus may well be on the forum in a few days (currently on DS) and the haters on this thread can all tell him to his face so to speak.......lol

it was a good show tonight, but just imagine how much better it woulda been with the legend there! out of this world!

God what a dullard you are proving to be, it is you who has no real idea.

if BBUK generated massive amounts of cash, why are ch4 binning it you plum?

Due to tax breaks etc for companies during the current economic climate, i dont think she would generate that huge amount in taxes for the uk.

How much did BB get from lucozade for sponsorship? GDP is gross domestic product, and a hell of a lot of that is Lucozade? Are you on drugs or something, cancel last we know you are.

How much did Lisa get paid? More than a washed up hate filled tango teacher?

You love spouting all this hyperbole but provide NO actual facts to back it all up.

How much did Lisa get paid?
I think we had this before and the best sources said it was something around 340 a week.

No matter how you slice it - BB is a huge cash machine for the economy.
You asked such a 'good question' on why its being scrapped then?
Uh.. well in fact it is NOT being scrapped because it doesn't make money. It was stated up front it DOES still make them money,
but,
They believe they can replace it with something that will make EVEN MORE money.

And a lot of this is more than just 'straight Lucozade sales' which obviously keeps Lucozade delivery drivers employed. It is cash generated by (for example):
The 5 pounds you spent to vote Lisa OUT because you hate her. Great.
Well that kept someone at BT employed for an hour. Of went to a raise for the cleaning staff.
Times that by thousands and a whole lot of salaries at a whole lot of different sections of our economy just got paid this week!
They did not get laid off this month.

Yes, GDP is a funny thing. When you get hit by a car (or more likely beaten up outside a pub) that generates for the 'GDP' when the ambulance shows up and later bills. GDP is actually a strange way to look at things,
but,
Yes, Big Brother is a massive money generating machine for the GDP.
Taxis to Bromborough to cheer, security guards hired to protect Lisa and cardboard and glue bought for 'We Heart Lisa' placards are all going to the GDP.
Generating jobs and % going to tax money for the government.

What do you do towards that?
Would it even come close to what Lisas current job does?

Total wind up merchant. Lisa don't even want a job....i listened to her saying going back down the jobcentre to fill out forms for her allowances stresses her out. She's happy with her non job seekers allowance, it meets her needs for grub, fags & with her housing benefit flung in everything in her life is cushtie.....She is a minge bag

Ok then splash here we go, the 20 numpties we see in the house are the tip of the iceberg, however brighter picture who actually produce lots of other programs employ lots more people so the cumulative amount of revenue generated is actually divisable by a lot more than just those 20, without all the background support there would be no foreground.

Lisa's worth is possibly 340 a week, i pay more in duties and taxes than that. (Incidentally is that better than a dance teacher?)

Lisa herself doesnt earn this country a lot, its not because of her, its because of the program she is in, if she wasnt there, there would be someone else there able to sit at the bus stop swill tea and say i was right/i knew that would happen/those effers in there are playing a game you know.

BB and Lucozade are very very small parts of the gross domestic product.

As for it making good money but could do better. in that case it would be snapped up by other TV companies.

You still have yet to provide one signficant fact that can be proven its still all hyperbole.

Incidentally the Lucozade sponsoship deal is for £800, 000. wow thats lots you will say, not compared to the £2.5 million per year of sponsorship from Virgin last year and the year before . ( wow a drop from 2.5 to 0.8 doesnt look so good does it?) Whats more those figures are verifiable both from press release, on endemols home site or on Wiki

So what?
That is true for everything.
What is your point?

Quote:

Lisa's worth is possibly 340 a week, i pay more in duties and taxes than that. (Incidentally is that better than a dance teacher?)
Great. If your part of a company generating millions of pounds into the economy then fantastic.
We need the biggest and the smallest and Lisa (and you) happen to be generating lots into taxes.

Quote:

Lisa herself doesnt earn this country a lot, its not because of her, its because of the program she is in, if she wasnt there, there would be someone else there able to sit at the bus stop swill tea and say i was right/i knew that would happen/those effers in there are playing a game you know.
Yes but that is also true for everyone. This is like pointing to Joe Accountant at XYZ insurance company and discrediting his contribution by pointing out that its the company that allows him to be there making money. that they could hire someone else. That if it were not for XYZ he wouldn't be doing that job.
The fact is that he DOES do that job,
and,
Lisa IS who is filling her position.

Quote:

BB and Lucozade are very very small parts of the gross domestic product.
So what?
So Virgin records is only a small part of the GDP and so a Dance Instruction chain of businesses are just a small part and so Man.U are just a small part etc etc.
So what?

Quote:

As for it making good money but could do better. in that case it would be snapped up by other TV companies.
Yes. That is why it is being replaced with something (yet to be developed) they believe will make much more money with what they have available.
Again.. so what?
It doesn't change the fact Lisa is part of a massive cash generating machine right now.

Quote:

You still have yet to provide one signficant fact that can be proven its still all hyperbole.
I have proven you are a moron who does not really know how or why or what to argue for (or against).

Quote:

Incidentally the Lucozade sponsoship deal is for £800, 000. wow thats lots you will say, not compared to
That is 800,000 MORE moneys into the economy.
Why would 2.5 in another sector 'cancel that out'?
It doesn't.
800,000 is MASSIVE compared to ZERO POUNDS in the economy.
800,000 is a LOT of people working in everything from bottle-makers to importers to recyclers to vending machine manufacturers to your mate who has a decent job delivering Lucozade around town.
People will be turning on C4 to watch Lisa. A Lucozade advert will compel them to buy a bottle later on.
That money is GOOD for the economy. (and again part of that goes to taxes).

Didn't we agree you should stop responding to my posts?

Err no we didnt agree

once again you only see what you want to see

Going by your logic then Marcus has been up for eviction far more times than Lisa, therefore what with phone calls and money for airtime changing hands he has generated far more money for the economy.

Or does your skewered view of the facts change back to straight when it concerns the man you love to hate? hows Ben? An example of refuting facts any company would look at dumping a program whose main sponsorship dropped to less than a third within 12 months. they dont know what the next contracted sponsorship deal will bring but they would forecast unless there was some fantastic turnaround (- which they didnt foresee) it would drop again.

And although 800,000 is better than nothing its no where near as good as 2,500,000, is it? or has the basic maths concept of the bigger the number being better managed to evade you when it comes to profit?

Incidentally you really should take a step back and view the facts in a more objective manner. oh and keep taking the tablets babes you know the doctor told you they will keep you calm.

Now run along back to your colouring books and wear your bib, you know the incessant dribbling ruins the pages.

Yes you can wear your bike helmet!
