i started on Monday, and i was scared too, because im not the best at making friends haha, but it has been fine so far :)
Even though the first 2 weeks are induction weeks, so not doing much!

I start tomorrow. Im so scared :(

College was horrible :bawling:, i was so nervous so i didn't talk to anyone so I'm a loner now

I wish that was True of the myth of college :sad:

but it's not i'm afraid from my experience. If your not gay guy or Female you don't make friends. I just couldn't connect with any of my fellow classmates, most just wanted to do their college work then go home and rarely on college nights out did anyone go out. only three other guys and myself out of a class of 25 turned up. I've done two courses both were miserable experience's in terms of making mates

I Have one mate in my whole college and i was good mates with her before college.

I agree with ArsenalForever, if you aren't gay or a girl it's much harder to make mates

:joker: I don't know, it just seemed that way the other day. It was me and mate, then in front a load of girls and gay guys trading numbers and chatting. Maybe, it's just that me and my mate aren't social enough

lol, maybe they're just super confident. I don't think many people can just get chatting to a group of people they don't know! With college I think the best friends are made overtime, when youre put in a group with someone you don't really know etc.

I bet you they threw themselves into conversations though. You really have to do that on the first few days, although I met my best college friend when I bumped into her in the lift haha, but yeah just try harder on making friends. Don't appear cliquey either and try and speak to everyone.

I'm sorry to hear about that.

My example was more to do with University than College. My college experience wasn't as bad as yours. I think I had in the region of 50 plus people I knew and who knew me. It was that huge.

I think, like I said about Uni, you should make the most of what friends you have and do as much as you can with them. Don't hesitate to talk to people and get to know them more to. I guess you are probably young and you'll only learn with experience.

Find one you wanna do then. You may find people more suited to you aswell!

We had to choose top 10 of what we wanted and I didn't get the first few so i only got that one but I honestly don't know why i put it there considering i have absolutely no interest
