I remember watching the Twin Towers (I can become a sky news addict when things kick off) and I can remember seeing people jumping on the news, I was also working in a pub at the time (surreal time) and people were talking about how they were idiots thinking they could jump and live (duh! the level of intelligence is worrying at times) burn to death painfully or instant death.

How is that a difficult choice.

The worst thing is people are still dying today because of it, whatever the truth behind it. We have had 8 years of deaths, with the two wars, suicide bombs in Indonesia, Madrid, London as well as countless others.

it doesn't help when America (Georgia State) puts stickers in their books saying Evolution is Just A Theory - well it has more basis in hard facts than religions and they don't have stickers.

The world needs to be educated, evolution and global warming.

We aren't *****ing up the planet, it'll be fine, something new will take our place eventually and our blot on the planet will eventually crumble away and there will be little remains in thousands of years times.

OH YEAH - whilst I'm on a bit of a rant - if you are the last man and last woman you can't repopulate the planet as you would have to have sex with either your children, or they'd have to do it, inbred population will cause problems and suffering. In theory if we can prove the big bang theory right, then religions can be proved wrong (but this won't be acceptable) without religions and their intolerance to each other, their would be a lot less hatred on earth.

The same thing might have happened time and time before that but with minute changes. The day (so to speak) that one small change happens is when the big bang happens. There is also nothing to say the world ever actually had a start (even though our mind cant process that thought)

i know banshee, we need to solve problems with 3rd world countries (basically capture and kill mugabe and we ll be on our way) etc. but no, we spend money on space advancements that really have no effect on our own living at this moment

We aren't exploring space though, what we are doing is building things like the hubble telescope, which enables us to see much further, but because of the distances and the time it takes the light to travel we see thing how they were x number of years ago. As such we can see galaxies form and die so we know what will happen to our own galaxy.

We have sent probes and rovers to Moon/Mars but thats just to see what they are like, same with comets.

One big question, if we accept that the world was once a 'hot ball' then where did the water come from, some people (in the know - ie not Jeff who drives a cab down my local in the know) think its come from comets. The planet is 3.8 Billion years old, we (as recorded people - rather than as humans) are only several thousand so the things we have seen/experience are nothing for the bigger picture.

We are going boldly where no person has gone before, we are just using technology to look further and see more.

Plus, maybe if we were attacked by aliens we might actually unite together as one.

I would actually believe in Aliens quicker than a 'God', but why wuld they want us? I do love the whole idea of a real 'Independence Day', with Jeff Goldblum, but not Bill Pullman (he made a terrible president), where the world unites but knowing us damn humans we would sell each othe out.

I think if aliens do invade we will end up divided and appetitisers for them, like in 'V'. I loved thatshow!

I dont have a shadow of a doubt there are aliens, with all the planets out there to believe we are the only ones is a bit ignorant in my view, the question of intelligence should be added as aliens could just be bacteria.

I just dont get the whole "9/11 was set up by America" I just dont get why? And all this talk about the plane not having any windows, therefore being a fake plane? what?

I think the attacks were genuine, what would have America got out of it if they planned it? Nothing really.

Theres also theorys that the plane hit the towers in some sort of angle and that the people jumping werent actually people. But i dont get any of this, if someone could help me clear everything up, would be nice :thumbs:

Just let me say that just because I love conspiriacy theories doesnot mean that I believe them all! I justwanted to get that staight! I don't read or watch the 9/11 theories, because I think they are rubbish to be honest.

I think that the biggest conspiriacy going on at the moment is the one slowly eroding over rights as humans and being watched by 'Big Brother', we are surrnded by CCTV camera's that have been proven NOT to reduce crime. Phone calls, emails, forums everything are being monitored under the guise of stopping terrorism. Is all a crock and we fell for it!
