I wanna see DB live

I'm watching his show now, he is amazing.

Seeing as it was billed as a live event, showcasing one of four events of misdirection, he doesnt have a system for predicting. will be a camera trick or some other trickery.

Derren Brown is just amazing. I love the man! I've been a fan of his stuff for years.

I'd really like to hear the skeptics explanation as to how he did this. I can't wait for the show on Friday telling us how he did it.

The one week I didn't do the lottery and my regular numbers get drawn.

Oh well.

Some people are saying that they think either:

1. BBC not being Live as they did not state that they were Live. But the Lottory is always live.
2. Him covering his mouth with his hand during the balls came out, people think he may have been talking through his hand to someone to change the numbers.
3. It was practised, Derren didnt jump up and down with joy after he found out he was right, he was rather calm.

IMO, all of them are not the explanations, the most believable would be #2 but the audio was put quite low so we would have heard something if he was talking into a audio piece through his hand.

Considering the camera was never taken off the balls from start to finish then what would it matter if Derren was telling someone the numbers? Did someone wearing an invisibility cloak come on and write the numbers on the balls?

That is totally weird and I swear it is the truth but I have forgotten virtually everything that happened on the show, just as he said.

If he can predict the lottery then why the fcukk is he scratting around pretending to be some sort of special case.


Methinks that it will have been something like the horse racing predictor he filmed.


I didn't watch it so I cannot say with any degree of certainty, but I would hazard a guess that he has been filmed predicting every ball and then the footage was diced and sliced to make it look like he had predicted all 6. Tis all an illusion.

watch this will explane how he does it as iv said the screen is split in 2 one side is on a loop the other is live 2 cameras one live the other recored when you watch the replay you can see the camera is shaky and zoom's in out as they stitch the 2 films together.

The lottery announcement is live only in as much as BB evictions were live feed. The actual drawings are carried out in front of a live studio audience. But there is a time delay after the drawing and before the TV announcement.

[/rquote]it does not matter if its live it can still be done on a loop video that is the way its done on a loop the screen is cut in 2 the right side is live the left side is not {the left side could have an elephant on set you will not see it though because its on aloop} once the number are known someone puts the correct ball's in the place then walks out of shot the loop is cut and now its live you dont see the cut because of the constant zoom in out what you see looks live, but is is not all you need is 2 seconds and the trick can be pulled off the time it takes him to turn off the TV walk up to the stand with the numbers on is enough time to pull the trick off.

Doesnt even need to be as sophisticated as that, someone in the lottery draw audience texts or phones the numbers to the studio that DB is using, they set the balls up, then he walks out and starts his live show inline with the official aired BB announcement.

He did say he wasnt using any form of camera tricks, but it is misdirection. He tends to play with the truth but doesnt lie, if you get my drift.

yes that is one possible way of doing it, however i was just pointing out Derren Brown doesnt claim to be a magician a psychic or anything else like that, he uses NLP and misdirection. If however he states no camera tricks, then he doesnt use camera tricks, its what he built his career on.

The national lottery draw is done in a live tv studio, it is recorded then broadcast at a pre set time later in the evening, it doesnt matter what time the draw is done because terminals wont allow tickets to be issued for that days draw after 7.30pm.

The time delay between the draw and the broadcast is a lot longer than 1 sec. Under the contract Camelot have to run the lottery, they have to be independently verified before release, there is a little bit more to the verification procedure than the man standing with his clipboard giving the nod.

An example is the euromillions is drawn in paris at 9.30pm our time but announced live after 11 on a Friday.

I would agree if they used pedestal mounted cameras, there is however judder and movement all through that, caused by the cameraman moving slightly, breathing etc.

As the movement appears to consistant throughtout the screen when any movement does occur must take something else to align a loop like that.

Anyway we will find out the truth on Friday night.

They probably digitally imprinted the numbers on the balls or something as they were read out. Either way it's a load of bollocks. Shouldn't he be a billionaire now if he can do **** like that?

If you look at 5:39 as the 6th ball is drawn. The camera is hand held and moving throughout the broadcast but freezes momentarily at 5:39. This is when the change takes place.
