May I throw Depeche Mode in to the mix please, along with Bauhaus, Japan, Teardrop Explodes/Julian Cope, Adam Ant, Pixies, Cameo, Level 42 (early stuff), Howard Jones, Thomas Dolby, and err, Jive Bunny.
What Springsteen album is the Ghost of Old Tom Jones on? One of the best peices of music ever laid down? |
Whitesnake!
|
Post Punk is my favourite movement ever, circa 78-84. Far better than Punk, which was a cultural cul de sac. The Pop Group, the Slits, PIL, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Gang Of Four, Joy Division, all amazing.
Next best thing to follow was the acid and rave explosion of the late 80's. |
